ices, name of current song
Dear Bredan -- I'm seeing them in the debug logs, but they're not making their way into the stream. OTOH, they are making their way to the directories (ie, shoutcast): http://yp.shoutcast.com/directory/?s=lamrim&st=gs&l=25 Any thoughts? Thanks for the great work! Stream read too fast / too slow
I know this is a recurrent question but I did not find anything to answer it in the archive... Here is my problem : after a file has been sent and read normally, sometimes the next one is read twice as slow or twice as fast as it should be. This is fixed by stopping the client and starting it again : this means that the problem does not really comes from the stream, which seams somehow to be

LiveIce and Zope
I have a very weird problem between Liveice and Zope. I start LiveIce with a script shell that works well. Since I want to run it under a Zope page I made a Zope "external method" to run the script through a Python module. When I call the method, the script is called by a function in the python module, and runs, but LiveIce does not work (seems like it does not even start). The weird

My icecast.conf file contains : acl_policy 1 deny all * allow all *.via.ecp.fr When connecting to my admin interface, I get a 403 error message ( You don't have access to this entity (stream or file).), and icecast says "Kicking unknown 48 [mallet.via.ecp.fr] [No mountfile found], connected for 0 seconds". IceS compiling problems
I have serious problems to compile IceS on a debian (woody), kernel 2.4.18. I have to say the configure script does not find anything... - I installed libshout and libshout-dev downloaded drom the icecast site. I have shout.h : 0:33 root@radiopi2 /usr/include/shout# ls shout.h Yet configure gives me this : ~/sources/ices-0.2.2% ./configure --with-libshout=/usr/include checking for

winamp >2.75 -answer on song titles // use_meta_data-
I've searched the archives on xiph and elsewhere in hopes of finding an answer on whether song titles will work. There seems to be no definitive answer. use_meta_data 1 DOES work for WinAmp 2.75 but nothing else I've tried (which includes the latest WinAmp and Sonique). Also, I can get some header by telnetting into my port (see below) but still the "meta_data" issue remains a
