I have been successfully streaming mp3's with icecast for about a year now with 1.3.12, but I have never needed to add a second stream until now.
I know this is hashed out over and over in the list of please forgive me if I post yet another plea for help. And I am sorry I am not using icecast2. but I don't need to. I have tried everything that I can think of but cannot get the second

[ problem remotely loginning into web admin interface]
Hello,
I think I figured this problem out.
History... After installing icecast last week I had been unable
to get the /admin to work. So today I looked into the code. From
that exploration it seems that the *.aut files (or at least the
mounts.aut) needs to be in the conf directory.
If you follow the code in client.c line 176...
char *secfile = get_icecast_file (info.mountfile, conf_file_e,

Hi all,
I have installed and configure puppet client in new virtual machine, but I
have this error when running

TRW: getters and setters
Hi all,
I mentioned this on the forum but wasn''t sure if
anyone was paying attention. I was just wondering if
it would be possible to replace the
get_something/set_something style methods with the
more Rubyish something/something= style (i.e. uniform
access).
For example, the Button class currently has
button.get_label and button.set_label("foo"). It
would give me warm,

Are tildes actually valid in templates or is this a bug?
Hi all,
First off, we''re running Puppet 2.7.6 with Ruby 1.8.7 on CentOS 6.0.
Now, I''m using tildes in a template to prevent newlines from appearing but
ruby/puppet is choking on them.

[LLVMdev] llvm release criteria?
I noticed that llvm 2.2 is slated for release on
Feb. 4th of 2008. Do the llvm 2.2 releases mimic
those of FSF gcc by requiring no major regressions
for the release? For example, would Bug 1462
(CodeGen doesn't fully support i128) likely be
fixed for 2.2 (even though it as marked as priority 2)?
Also, how are the merges with the Apple GCC 4.2
branch handled? Are those done at some regular

[PATCH] Configurable privileges and chroot jail
Hi,
This patch (against the current CVS tree) is intended to add secure
configuration to icecast 'out of the box'. It adds two configuration
directives, 'icecast_user' and 'chroot_dir'. These are intended to be
used together to reduce the privileges icecast runs under to the
minimum necessary. When this is enabled and run as root icecast will
enter the specified chroot

uninitialized constant Puppet::Network::Handler::FileServer::AuthStoreError ?
Hi Folks, Just wondering what the above error means. I followed
the instructions in http://www.howtoforge.com/installing_puppet_on_ubuntu
and when I try to startup the server it fails with the error in the
subject
of this message.
I am running the server on Ubuntu/i386/gutsy. In particular,

Modules doesn't work from puppet agent.
Hi all,
I think i''m forgetting something.
If i do: "puppet apply manifiests/site.pp" it works perfectly, loading
modules i have include in site.pp file.
site.pp:
cat manifiests/site.pp
node default {
include ntp, motd
}
But it does not work if i run puppet agent.
puppet agent --test --server=debianita.user.arinso --environment production

Simple issue with templates.
Hi all,
My brain is now officially dead!
I have a series of modules that have a tree layout as documented in the
"best practice" guide.
One of the directories I have is "templates" and in this directory I
have placed a template.erb file, however no matter how I refer to the
path in my init.pp, I cannot get it to include.
I''ve even set "templatedir" to

Problems with puppetd on ubuntu server
If you install puppet from the ubuntu 9.04 repositories (apt-get
install puppet) it sets up puppet differently than the gem. The
differences are obvious from the /etc/puppet/puppet.conf which looks
like this
[main]
logdir=/var/log/puppet
vardir=/var/lib/puppet
ssldir=/var/lib/puppet/ssl
rundir=/var/run/puppet
factpath=$vardir/lib/facter
pluginsync=true

Is it time to re-factor yet :^)
Or how to avoid the whirlwind.
Greetings everyone.
I observe the coding of lighdm is well under way and I'm thinking the
pressure to meet the releases of 11.11 is probably going to build without
bounds.
Is there time now to consider the inclusion of some of the more offbeat use
cases?

2: True headless(no video card) but Xvfb.
