Icecast2 access problem
Thanks (slapping forehead with hand). I completely forgot that my
upstream is limited to 128kbs. That would definitely cause a problem as
you have mentioned. For the time being, I re-encoded the files at 56kbs
to see if that helps. If so, I'll look into using a even lower
bandwidth streams. Let me know if you are successful using this lower
bandwidth stream.

Icecast2 access problem
> http://66.149.8.8:8000/example1.ogg
I can connect, although listening to the stream is impossible. You're
streaming at ~130kbps and I *should* be able to listen to that stream
well, but it appears that you're upstream is totally overloaded. With
your current <clients>100</clients> setting you'd need a 15MBit upstream
to serve all those listeners at that quality.

Is this stream accessable?
I am serving an ogg vorbis stream using icecast2 and ices2 from cvs and
using the ogg and vorbis RC2 libraries. I can connect to the stream
using xmms from any machine on my home network, but others can't seem to
connect using multiple other decoders from outside of my network. Both
the icecast access.log and the decoders show that others are connecting
but the stream does not seem to be

cannot get icecast and ices to talk...authentication failed
I have a weird one...
I installed icecast 2 and ices .23 on Mandake, and am not having any luck
I compiled and installed the nightly icecast just today.
It seems to work fine, however when I telnet to it (10.0.0.3, port 8000),
I am unable to login unless the first line contains ONLY the password.
I used ethereal to see that iceS is trying to send to authenticate, and it
is sending (as the first

the key word and 1 - have the key word) and 0- do not contain executive
information 1 - contains executive information.

Hello,
first of all thank you for your patience and having answered you.
I tried to change port from 8000 to 8001 but nothing happened. I am using a vps server so I don?t need to open port from router.
I paste here all my icecast.xml configuration file.
can you please give a llok and tell me if all seems ok to you?
still thank you!

streaming to dialup users gives low quality audio
Hello,
I've got two streams, one for broadband, one for dialup. Well, having
had occation to use a dialup connection recently i checked the dialup
stream. Although it was streaming what the broadband stream was, the audio
quality was audibly worse. It didn't buffer, but it didn't sound as clear as
the broadband stream. I used lame to encode the tracks to mp3 and used it's

Sorry Tom. I thought I replaced your e-mail address with the shorewall list
address.
I got it working!!!
I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. Pays to write down what I want
to accomplish versus flying by the seat mof my pants.

SAN certificates for multiple domains and multiple services
Hi,
I'm currently installing and configuring CentOS 7 on a public server.
The machine will host a few small-to-midsize projects that are currently
running on a handful of Slackware servers: public library databases, our
public school's agenda, a small webradio, OwnCloud for myself and a
local non-profit, etc.
Until recently I've mostly used self-signed SSL certificates for stuff

syncing imap servers with imapsync

I am attempting to sync two imap servers using the imapsync perl script. It seems handy and easy.
Here's what happens when I try to do this:

Hi Nadav,
I tried your suggestion by changing the condition to :
189 if (LoopVectorize && OptLevel >= 0)
190 MPM.add(createLoopVectorizePass());
and compiled. Then I used the following command:
opt -mtriple=x86_64-linux-gnu -vectorize-loops
-vectorizer-min-trip-count=6 -debug-only=loop-vectorize -O1-S -o
example1_vect.s example1.s

help for creating sendmail virtual users
hey friends,
I have installed sendmail or it would rather say it comes default with the
centos. I am using Centos4.0 and I am trying to configure sendmail
with virtual users.
I have created few users for my domain. My internal domain (example.com) is
different from my isp domain (example1.com).
The problem I am facing is that if the user1 at example1.com sends the mail to

Support for oracle_home yet?
Hi -
I thought I saw someplace on one of the oracle pages that ocfs now
supported the install of oracle_home's.
Can anyone verify this ?
If so - are there any limitations or things I should know?
Thanks

Can connect to example1.ogg but not example1.ogg.m3u
I have just finished setting up ices2 => icecast 2 on RH9 linux.
Have 10 or so .ogg tracks in a playlist.
Also downloaded a full copy of winamp 5.
If I point my browser at
10.1.1.101:8000/example1.ogg.m3u
then winamp opens, and just says Connecting... - it never actually plays
anything.
If I use the open URL feature in winamp and give it
10.1.1.101:8000/example1.ogg
Then winamp connects to the
