Cable Modem and Bridging
I''m not subscribed to the users list but I''ve been reading the archives. The
OP should NOT try using bridging with either FC 3 or FC 4 at this time
because the combination of Netfilter and bridging is currently broken in the
kernel''s included with those distros (as reported in another thread on the
list).

The Shorewall list server is back on line
There was a lengthy power failure here in Shoreline this morning and my
firewall did not come back up when power was restored. The firewall is
now up and service to the server has been restored.

Hi all there.
I am trying to set up an icecast2 server (wich is already running) to
send some stream mount point to another server. I mean, my server is
streaming at /radio1.mp3 mount point. We can listen it at
http://myserver:8000/radio1.mp3; so, i want to know if is there any
way to "clone" that strem and send it to another server, such as

Syncing moved files
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hi all,
I use rsync to keep an off-site backup of my photographs.
I dump from my camera everything into a tmp/ directory, which I then
clean and move gradually all pictures into the right directory
(Vacations/, for example).
But rsync does not know that I moved an identical picture from tmp/ to
Vacations/, it transfers the whole file, and deletes

W2k and Win98 over a cable modem
Hi,
I think this is related to Petter Osterlund's post...
I have two CYGWIN machines: a Win98 (400 megHz) (with a cable modem) and
a Win2K (1.4 megHz) (attached to a token ring network) that I am trying
to use rsync with over the Internet... I got things to work for a small
directory (150 files. 5 megs). I was using a -azvPu flag with --delete
and --modify-window=1 and -e ssh

Test environments?
Hi folks,
When we first started talking about Shorewall post-Tom, a few people
offered to help with testing. Would those people please raise their
hands again? :-)
I''m investigating Nicolas Helleringer''s recent message on
shorewall-users
(http://lists.shorewall.net/pipermail/shorewall-users/2005-June/018898.html),
and a good test environment would come in really handy,

Cable Modem
I read many postings in this listserv about cable modem under RHL 7.3 in
Sept 2002, I followed the recommendations, but I still can't get it to
work. I have 3 computers connected to an Ethernet hub/router in my
house, and the uplink from the hub/router goes to a Scientific-Atlanta
Webstar cable modem. The 2 Windows computers are successfully using the
cable modem to connect to the

Audio problems on cable modem link
We have a small office installation running over a cable modem. (8M down, 500k up confirmed with numerous speed test sites)
When a single call is up, call quality is fine. When a second call is up, outbound audio is immediately choppy. We're using ulaw, and confirmed that traffic with 2 calls is <175kbps in/out. (IAX connection out)
Asterisk doesn't report any dropped frames, the

dir.xiph.org stats & metadata not posting
Hi there,
We are currently in the process of migrating our online radio stations to Azuracast, everything is working well except when we attempt to post On Air and Listener stats to your directory, they don't show up. Additionally, the listing can't be found in searches most of the time, but occasionally will come back for a few minutes and then disappear.
I've setup a test station at

Setting where the x-axis crosses the y-axis
Hi all,
my apologies for a probably very obvious question but i can't figure out if, on
a bar plot, there is a simple way to have the x-axis cross the y-axis at 1,
when the y-axis is on a log-scale?
I want to draw a bar plot, and have some of the bars "drop" below 1 while
starting from 1. Is this possible?
I have been trying various things using barplot, barplot2 etc... without

Maildir structure question
Hello,
About the INBOX location when using maildir, in the wiki,
http://wiki.dovecot.org/MailboxFormat/Maildir, I can read:
"
Directory Structure
~/Maildir/new, ~/Maildir/cur and ~/Maildir/tmp directories contain
the messages for INBOX. The tmp directory is used during delivery, new
messages arrive in new and read shall be moved to cur by the clients.
"
But in my Maildir, I see

Error: Client not receiving data fast enough
Hmmm, I am using Winamp for my client, will upgrade it, but it works for
other shoutcast/icecast streams. There has to be something buggered up in
my config somewhere. It sounds as if Ices is sending data too quickly to
icecast(?), will blow it away and re-complie it and see what happens.
Thanks for the help so far.

[LLVMdev] precondition suggestion to LLVM
Hi all,Is there any way to tell LLVM some additional information about the variables in the code in order to make better optimization? For example, if my function has a certain precondition (such as x>0) then it will be possible to better optimize the code given that information (which the compiler does not know).I am new in this field and I don't know if there are ways to tell the compiler
