different play lists on different ports?

I see from your answer below that this is no longer possible. If you run multiple copies of icecast, they will be completely separate, and work as two separate entities. I have run many instances of icecast on the same

Public Server?
Hmmm.. perhaps: 1. My inquiries aren't making it to the list. 2. I've stumped the judges. 3. My question is perceived as ridiculous and undeserving of an answer. I quote from the Icecast online FAQ: "What do I need to setup and run an icecast server? First of all you need a box to run the server. Download and compile icecast on this box, and start it up (the default config

Shift the normal curve to the top or near to the top of the histogram
Dear All: One more thing. I want to add the normal curve to the histogram. Is there away to stretch the peak of the curve to the top of the histogram or at least near to the top of the histogram. Please see the code below. Lizard.tail.lengths <- c(6.2, 6.6, 7.1, 7.4, 7.6, 7.9, 8, 8.3, 8.4, 8.5, 8.6,8.8, 8.8, 9.1, 9.2, 9.4, 9.4, 9.7, 9.9, 10.2, 10.4, 10.8,11.3, 11.9) x<-seq(5,12, 0.001)

Shift the normal curve to the top or near to the top of the histogram
Hi Abou, Try this: library(plotrix) curve(rescale(dnorm(x ,mean=mean(Lizard.tail.lengths),sd=sd(Lizard.tail.lengths)), c(0,6)),add=TRUE, col=2, lwd = 2) Jim On Mon, Sep 25, 2017 at 9:35 AM, AbouEl-Makarim Aboueissa <abouelmakarim1962 at gmail.com> wrote: > Dear All: > > One more thing. > > I want to add the normal curve to the histogram. Stuttering stream
I'm using shout 0.8.0, icecast 1.3.10 on Redhat 7.2. My stream skips all over the place. I can't even get through one song without having to restart the stream or having icecast boot me. Most of my MP3s are 128kbps, and that's the default bitrate in shout. I've turned on autocorrect and force bitrate, but it still skips. Autocorrect seems to make the time between skipping a bit

a few ices/icecast questions
hiya. i'm using ices 0.2.2 with icecast 1.3.10 and otto 1.0 (a web/db playlist mgmt tool). overall, i'm very pleased with the setup, but i'm having a few problems. 1) whenever otto plays a track (by exec'ing ices), that same track keeps playing over and over. i have to direct otto to kill the track (and the ices process) in order to get it to play the next track. i notice this

Stuttering stream
This reminds me of a problem I've been having occasionally with ices... once in a while, instead of properly decoding and re-encoding the MP3 for my stream, it'll stream gibberish (basically, it sounds like a "cooked" MP3). After that, maybe 1 time out of 3, it'll segfault and crash. Even in verbose mode, ices doesn't report anything other than "resyncing".

Play static file before stream
Hi everyone, I'm new to icecast and would like to know if it is possible to play a static file before a stream. I would very much like to accomplish this from icecast rather than a playlist, as the playlist can be bypassed. Is it possible to direct icecast to play mountpoints sequentially? My initial thoughts were to create 2 mountpoints, 1 for the static file and 1 for the stream, then have

nut suddenly stopped working...
I almost had nut_2.0.5-3_i386.deb (from http://packages.debian.org/unstable/admin/nut - installed via dpkg, not via repository) working: * problems with getting it to come up during boot * monitoring via knutclient was OK * shutdown on low battery worked adequately, if not quite as described) and newhidups suddenly stopped talking to my Belkin F6C550-AVR . It's only been in use for a

iceplay available anymore ?
All, I need a good radio station solution for icecast. It seems iceplay is a good solution but I got it out of CVS and seems to be quite old. Anybody know of a good radio station solution to manage streams and requests and all that (already tried iceDJ , it does not support ices, and is a pain in the neck to work with). Thanks a bunch.
