WebTV/ Windows Media Player
Don't know if this has been covered or even asked, but how can you allow access to the streams to those on WebTV and those using Windows Media Player. We're using Icecast and Ices. Thanks in advance! icecast with winAmp as the streamer
All Icecast head. I agree oddcast DSP plugin is more steady with Icecast. But I encounter bad passwork. I have specified the encoder password in the icecast.conf which match the plugin password. Darwin Server
This may be slightly off-topic but I'm trying to find out information about the Darwin Streaming Server and what it may be compatible with, as far as stream encoder formats. I saw this mentioned in an update. MP3 Streaming: You can serve standard MP3 files using Icecast-compatible protocols over http. Build a playlist of MP3 files and serve them to MP3 clients such as iTunes, SoundJam

Quick Question.
How can you have an intro play prior to it going in the stream ala Live 365? Any suggestions would be great! playlist display issues
Hi. I'm running the wonderful icecast 1.3.11 and ices on a RedHat 7.2 box. Everything seems to work as it should except for various client mp3 players being able to display the artist/song title information. I've had the same problem using different streamers so I'm wondering if this is a problem with the way I've configured icecast? Did I miss something or is this possibly an

So what you want is a file or files to play before the listener connects to the stream from the icecast server? I don't think that icecast does this internally like the shoutcast server can do,

few questions about icecast/ices
I have a few questions about icecast and ices. Icecast: Isn't there supposed to be a web interface, that tells what's currently playing and whatnot (not the admin interface, one for users)?. i setup my server, and was assuming it would be at http://www.mysite.com:8000/ but it's not. (http://www.mysite.com:8000/admin is the admin interface, also in that, the links to change the

Tweaking Questions.
It looks like we have things running and just have a few questions: 1- What MIME type and extentsion do we need to open a player through Apache, currently what happens is that it attempts to download the entire folder containing the mp3's instead of opening up the player (this happens at http://www.xxx.com:8000). 2- How can you create a playlist? Currently it just plays the mp3's and

Dummy (factor) based on a pair of variables
Dear All! my data is on pairs of countries, i and j, e.g.: y,i,j 1,AUT,BEL 2,AUT,GER 3,BEL,GER I would like to create a dummy (indicator) variable for use in regression (using factor?), such that it takes the value of 1 if the country is in the pair (i.e. EITHER an i-country OR an j-country). Zero inflated: is there a limit to the level of inflation
Hello, I have count data that illustrate the presence or absence of individuals in my study population. I created a grid cell across the study area and calcuated a count value for each individual per season per year for each grid cell. The count value is the number of time an individual was present in each grid cell. For illustration my data columns look something like this and are repeated for
