Is that title dynamic (ie: does it change per song to list the song name)?
Or is it a one time static thing?

someone wake me up...
and tell me that it is possible to make icecast broadcast titles or id3 tags. I refuse to believe that you all can talk so fondly of a program that gives you the ability to make a radiostation but not tell its listeners what is on the air.. That is just too weird.. So what do YOU do to tell people what they are listening to?

Hi.
I want to broadcast FM radio.
Can i pass data directly from my radio card to livecast

card after the radio card and before liveice?
Thanks in advance,
Bertrand.

Playing ogg files in C++
Does anyone have a code samples in C++ to play the ogg files. I can’t find
anything anywhere. I was hoping this could be shared since it seems as
though you decode the file and read the byte stream. I can’t find anything
windows api shortcuts. Help!

Looking for a non-graphical mp3 streaming tool
Hi;
I want to use a headless, debian linux box (no console) as my audio
streamer. I've installed shoutcast and icecast multiple times without
problems, but I have yet to find a streaming tools as effective as WinAMP
on a windows box.
I don't need the graphics and don't want to listen to the source on the
server (a sparcstation 10), I just want something that I can use to

No audio with slackware for live station
He means that development of WinAmp 3 has discontinued. WA2 is being updated
to support WA3's extra features (video, media library), and WinAmp 5 (2+3=5)
is the main new development.
You can read the announcement on the WinAmp forums.

new maintainers
So I've been doing this myself for far too long, I'm glad to have some
good help these days.
ices 1.x is now going to be maintained by Brendan Cully. Brendan has
also done most of the network/imap code in mutt, and is working on
multistreaming in ices 1.x. Hopefully we'll see some good stuff.
ices 2.x (the vorbis version) is coming along very nicely and is
maintained by Michael

What's best practice for serving multiple formats from a remote icecast server?
We are running an icecast2 server in conjunction with our LPFM radio
station and need a little advice.
We have been serving a single 128k ogg stream from a remote server and
would like to make additional formats available (e.g. mp3, lower
bandwidth, etc.)
I would think this has been done a few thousand times and there would be
a "best practice" but I can't find it.

live streaming
Hi list,
I am wanting to stream audio live to my sound card, have it compressed on the fly and sent to my
icecast server.
I had a look at darkice (http://darkice.sourceforge.net) but I didn't seem to be able to get that to
work, the stream skipped seriously and no config options or different encoder I used managed to get it
sounding normal.
The machine I am using to do the live encoding
