chopped audio problem
I do use metadate since i need people to see the titles. I use livecast in mixer mode. The chopping starts right away I don't use VBR (I commented it out at least). The mp3's are made with XING audiocatalyst (for windows) so I don't really know. Sorry. chopped audio problem
Does this happen at the beginning, or always after 30 seconds, or what? Are you using shout? Are these VBR files? Do you have use_metadata turned on in the icecast config? jack. > I use liveice/icecast on a linux box redhat 6 (2.2.18) and my problem is that the streamed audio gets chopped -on the LAN!!! The audio is encoded in 32kbps and I have a 512kbps/512kbps connection, so it should be

someone wake me up...
and tell me that it is possible to make icecast broadcast titles or id3 tags. I refuse to believe that you all can talk so fondly of a program that gives you the ability to make a radiostation but not tell its listeners what is on the air.. That is just too weird.. So what do YOU do to tell people what they are listening to? Arvid www.playrec.dk -for all kinds of good music ICQ# 724069 ---

plockstat - chopped stack output
Hi - I''m trying to use plockstat to help identify any mutex contention issues we may have in our c++ app. >From the docs it would appear to be a very useful tool - unfortunately in practice this doesn''t bear out purely because the stack traces produced are limited to being 39/40 characters wide. In general this means that I''m not seeing ~75% of each stack symbol and

BUG: sending bad buf's in MP3
In format_mp3.c tatic int format_mp3_write_buf_to_client(format_plugin_t *self, client_t *client, unsigned char *buf, int len) { int ret; if(((mp3_state *)self->_state)->metadata) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This is always true because previously it did state->metadata = strdup("") in format_mp3_get_plugin(). It causes annoying artifacts in xmms

Picture upload - picture gets chopped
I implemented the picture upload code from the AWDWR-book.(where it saves the picture to blob-field in db). It worked well on my windows-box, but now I exported my code to Linux-box and when the picture is uploaded, it gets cut. Only the upper 30 % of the picture file is saved to db. Any ideas how to fix this? By the way, the windows-version of the MySQL Query Browser was able to show the

CallerID chopped by half ? :-)
Hello, I upgraded from 1.0.9 to 1.2.5 yesterday and it went ok except for one little change that happened in the CDRs, and it's concerning the CallerID. Let me explain.. With 1.0.9 I used to get this in the CDRs: "COMPANY LTDA <2153>" Now with 1.2.5 I get one part only: "2153" The number 2153 in this case is the username, but where is the text part gone ? that

barplot with chopped bars
Dear R users, I want to make a barplot with bars that can be non-continuous. An example will be the presence and absence of some events over time, e.g. a bunch of people that are either in the office or not in the office, for some period of time. I want to visualize this in a bar plot like this: Person 1: ********* ******** ******* Person 2: ********* ***** **********

Chopped files when downloading from database
I have some files stored in db. When I try to download these I only get 65535 bytes from the database even if the file is a lot bigger. Is it a Rails setting I''ve missed or a database setting? Anything else? Using Rails 1.0, WinXP and MySQL4.1 /Marcus

Training Material: Books about linux but targeting Centos installations
Hi, I am about to give a training session in Linux, using Centos 4.4 as a base. I want to give my students (MS windows administrators) printed books about Linux and hopefully Centos based. It is a total of 20 books. I'm also interested in purchasing 20 copies of the DVD of Centos 4.4 x86/x86_64 distro. My initial search at amazon returned no useful results. It can be RHEL 4, Centos 4 or

Mahler's Book - New Project
Hi all, I'm currently gearing up for a possible PBX replacement project using Asterisk, and I'm just breaching the iceberg of information that's available. I typically like to have something thick with pages in front of me. Mahler's book was the first one to come up and it seems like a good place to start. However, the big name bookstores tell me it'll take up to three

Means do not tally
Hi all, here is my situation In my experiment, I expose 10 subjects to 24 different conditions of stimuli. Each condition is exposed to the same subject 3x. This would make each subject have 24x3=72 data points. All the subjects combined would have 72x10=720 data points with each condition having 30 datapoints. To find the grand average of each condition, I find the average of all the

T1 (hardware pre-shaped) shaping question
Hello list. I have been trying to figure this out on my own, but I guess I somewhat failed :) A linux router with external eth0 and internal eth1 acts as a gateway for a number of machines utilizing a partial T1 line (512kbps). Since the T1 is limited by hardware and by its nature to 64kbps per channel the most I can pump out of it is up+down < 512kbps. If a number of workstations amount to

Full_Name: Jari Oksanen Version: 2.0.1, 2.1.0 beta (2005-04-17) OS: Linux Submission from: (NULL) (130.231.102.145) If name ends with "and", such as "Roeland Lastname", citation() will chop "and" as a separate word giving "Roel and Lastname". Stability unmatched!
I never did solve my "puzzle" as to how to kill a Linux process that seems to be deadlocked in kernel space, but thought I would report to the list that the server did manage to stay up and continue to process several thousand calls per day: ast% uptime 11:49:37 up 1000 days, 16:30, 1 user, load average: 1.00, 1.00, 1.00 ast% Since for the past four weeks I have forced my poor
