Newbie with icecast/ices
hi guys,
I am very new to encoding and streaming mp3s.
I have recently installed icecast(1.3.7) with ices(beta 5) in LAN on Linux Redhat 6.2.
It works perfectly fine with a bit rate of 128 kbps in LAN but somehow
when i change the bit rate of songs to 16 kbps it gets stuck in the middle, all
the time 'like someone is scratching the disk'.
Earlier i thought it happens because the LAN

sample mean, variance and SD
hi
could you help me to solve this issue
Question:
Using command rweibull(100,8,15), simulate n = 100 realizations from
Weibull(8; 15) distribution. Using the simulated sample, compute the sample
mean, variance and standard deviation of these observations.
I am trying like this
sim<-rweibull(100,8,15) # simulated sample
SM<-mean(sim) # simulated sample mean
var(sim) # variance

connection problem
I am pretty sure that the integrity of my mp3's is okay. I know that music
match shreds the mp3 data and produces mp3 files that are not ISO compliant.
I always use WaveLab and the radium codec to encode my sets and enable the
ISO compatibility option at all times. This problem only seemed to come
about with winamp 2.7 but if sonique is doing it to, I don't know...
What about relaying? Do

CentOS 7 Manual Install
I am following the instructions from the CentOS website to manually install
CentOS 7 (http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/ManualInstall) but the guide seems
to have some quality issues. I've partitioned the storage fine and now onto
setting up RPM. Unfortunately I am at a loss on how to do this. I am doing
this on VMware Workstation 10 and the host OS is Ubuntu 14.04.
Thanks

Feature request: non-dropping regmatches/strextract
I do think keeping the default behavior is desirable for backwards compatibility; my suggestion is not to change default behavior but to add an optional argument that allows a different behavior. Although this can be implemented in a user-defined function, retaining empty matches facilitates programmatic use, and seems to be something that should be available in base R. It is available, for

[LLVMdev] Do all the debug nodes in LLVM IR also compiles to DWARF?
Hi
As the title says, are all the debug nodes of LLVM IR avaialble in DWARF?
If I add a new custom MDNode in LLVM IR, can I expect the debug data will
be available in DWARF in the binary if I compile in debug mode?
Thanks
Riyad

[LLVMdev] Modifying debug information through llvm pass
Hi All,
I want to change debug information of an llvm instruction so that the
modified debug info is subsequently passed to executable binary. So if I
use "addr2line" utility on the binary, it will return my modified debug
information.
I've tried to change by using the following code snippet:
MDNode *N = Inst->getMetadata("dbg");

Get root node of CallGraph
Hi,
There is a "Root" private member in CallGraph
<http://llvm.org/docs/doxygen/html/CallGraph_8h_source.html#l00192> class.
But there is no way to get access to that member. How can I do that? I can
get CallGraphNode of "main" method. But I am curious is there more cleaner
way.
Thanks,
Riyad

Icecast & DB storage
Hi List,
Has anyone had any experiences of using a DB as the source container for
MP3's with Icecast/IceS/Shout.
What we are trying to do is store the source media in Oracle, and/or
Postgres, as BLOB's. The aim is to not have the source-files on the
file-system so clustering and management becomes easier.
Any pointers?
Cheers
Phil

[thomas@arkena.com: [vorbis] mp3pro and the mp3 streaming license]
Thomas,
You should post this hear, as it's just as relevant ;)
Hey guys, how do you feel now that you all owe Thompson $2k per year?
Vorbis look more interesting now :)
It's really disgusting how the technology is now worth more than the
music.
jack.

apparently not :) The page says : "This is a workspace for all parties
to work on integrating the Ogg Vorbis format and audio codec with the
Helix DNA Client."
What about serverside of it?

Not really. Use winamp to connect to your stream. Save bookmark on
your stream as m3u on desktop. Shut down winamp fire up WMP 6.4 or
newer and drag m3u into it and watch your stream getting played by
windows media player ;-) Websolution do the same but place m3u on

2) Bug in icecast 1.3.10 adding more than one realy in the alias list
