Anyone Know Shoutcast?

Scott,
I run a shoutcast server that uses relays. Shoutcast doesn't do
anything with mount points, to my knowledge. You connect using
ip:port format only. Feel free to email me off list with any
questions you've got.
You might also try the shoutcast discussion list, which is where its
really supported. The sign up is on the shoutcast page.

liveice Question
Works just fine - though it might not be documented (seems like this info
was dropped from the sample liveice.cfg file in the later distributions).
Basically, at the end of liveice.cfg add the line:
ENCODER_STREAM_SET 1
then define the values that would be different on the 2nd stream, ie:
NAME Scott's 24kb/s stream
SERVER xxxx.yyy.com
PORT 80xx
PASSWORD (if different than 128k)
BITRATE

Getting Listed
Just As Icecast .yp is/was open so is Audiorealm .yp listing for anyone to
use.
We'd love to blend all Icecast and audiorealm server listings and we are
totally open to work with anyone on this to make a more open blended
directory..
Thanks Kelly!

Getting Listed
Yeah, I got one.
How about a universal listing service that has one type of listing setup,
and all servers conform to that??
(ie screw yp.shoutcast.com)
I am completely open to working with anyone who would like to pursue such a
project, and if it is possible I will even personally put money into it.

Win32: problem with tinc-up script
Okey, after more testing its not working 100%
Seems when tinc start when windows is booting, the
windows IP stack does a lot of other things and
so NotifyAddrChange() returns earlier for other interfaces probably.
Seems fixing that is much harder that I expected.
More research is needed to correctly fix that.

Win32: problem with tinc-up script
Okey, after more extensive R&D and testing I came up with 2
final solutions:
1) external tool: wipchg
2) internal tincd: wait_device(int secs)
Both solution works 100% time (tested on Win2003).
I publish them here, so interested parties can do they own testing.
1) ftp://borg.uu3.net/home/borg/tmp/wipchg.tgz
You need Mingw compiler to build this.

Mail server problem on CentOS 4.1
Hello list.
I'm configuring mail server on CentOS 4.1 (migration from SuSE).
Configuration of postfix with sasl is OK - server receive and sent mails
using TLS and SASL authentication.
Problems:
1. When mail arrives to server it don't go to Amavis-new (from Dag
repo). I added lines to master.cf as described here:

php3 module and security
Hi,
When php3 module is compiled in apache, files in any directory will
be interpreted by the parser and executed. This is a security breach.
There is a way to correct this? Any comments?
Thanks,
lacj

Problems connecting to Samba using windows XP
Hi,
We are having difficulty connecting to a samba server using windows XP pro.
Plain text is enabled and we can search for the server on the network, but
as soon as we map a drive to it, it asks for a username and password. We
enter this and then it asks for a password relating to a guest account.
Can anyone help me with why it defaults to the guest account?
Regards
Phil

[Jason Gunthorpe <jgg@ualberta.ca>] Global RSA hosts patch
Here's a patch from Jason Gunthorpe that looks generally useful.
It's actually aimed at the Debian LDAP setup, so we can have a file
generated from everyone's ssh_identity data, and still only allow each
person to log in as themselves.
Cheers, Phil.
P.S. I hope the MIME inclusion survives, if not I'll put a copy here:
