I use Amarok (http://amarok.kde.org/) in linux, but I can't find any player in Windows that has this same native support for embedded flac pictures. Hmm, what if the FLAC options produce a larger file on output than input? Would -f (force) cause the whole process to fail as soon as the output exceeded the input? hi, one of my customers still use old foxpro we migrate from samba 3.6.3 to samba 4.1.17 and everything seems to be alright foxpro is using command "run" to starts external program and when I star for example Wordpad by "run wordpad" I get Access denied but when I directly run worpad, then everything runs ok And this behavior appears only on Win7 - Win10 and not on WinXp I

Hi, I meant that it seems problematic to write an updated file to itself, because the operation could erase the data before it is read. Unless you read the entire file first, or write to a temporary file which is then renamed. I deal with FLAC files that are over a gigabyte, meaning that this could easily exceed normal buffers. Just curious. I guess I could go test it myself... or

Harry, I wrote a little command line utility for this in C# - the lib it uses is a little overkill for the task but it does work. As Josh noted there is no compression gain, so I wouldn't bother unless you have FLAC's encoded with older versions. I also think Josh said there's a .BAT file out there that does the same thing. Hi all, I've got notepad.exe to work under wine (i think it's built in). I'm trying to get wordpad.exe to work now. It's currently in ~/driveC/Program Files/Accessories. Wine says it can't find wordpad.exe. Do i need to add an explicit path for it in wine config, or should the windows registry supply the path? Is it any use copying the original windows registry to wine?

I believe the CorePlayer will play back FLAC. I just tried this with Goldwave.. it decoded the file, i edited out some stuff, and saved the file (flac format) and the tags appear to be intact. Hi, I have cross compiled samba to a mipsel board. I could access the shares from another linux machine using smbmount, and from a mac OSX machine. But, I can not modify files from an XP machine. I could successfully mount the shares, but if I open, say a text file from the XP in notepad and try to modify it, it generates an error "not enough storage is available to process this

Neither in the wordpad that comes with wine nor in the original one I get these bullets (similiar to enumeration). Anyone any idea why?
