S4 - inheritance changed by order of setClassUnion and setAs()
Andreas,
As far as I can tell (/conjecture), this is because the list of classes a
particular class inherits from directly is appended to as needed, and so
the order that a class extends others isd refined by the order that those
connections are defined.
We can see this with two setClassUnion calls, rather than required setAs:

Question: llvm-link type merge behaviour of c++ classes
Hi LLVM community,
I'd like to ask a question regarding the behavior of llvm-link:
My code contains Classes which are structurally equivalent but they are totally unrelated and distinct on a c++ point of view.
However, if the compiled IR gets processed by llvm-link, these types are merged together.
My question is: Is this expected behavior or a bug?
To explain it more in detail, a reduced

S4 - inheritance changed by order of setClassUnion and setAs()
Dear colleagues,
there is a behaviour with S4 (virtual) classes that I find very hard to understand: Depending on the position
of setAs(), the tree of inheritance changes.
This is my baseline example that defines the classes "grandma", "mother", "daughter" and a virtual
class "mr_x". For a new instance if "daughter", "mr_x" is betweeen

Win10 cannot access linux shares
Hi,
When I upgraded from Fedora 22 to Fedora 25 my Win10 box lost the
ability to connect to shares on the F25 box. The F25 box can still
access shares on the Win10 box.
F25 is currently running Samba 4.5.13 and I have a simple workgroup
setup. Let's call the Win10 box 'fred' and the F25 box 'ethel'.
When fred tries to access a share on ethel, I am prompted for username

Wine screens unreadable
I have moved this hard drive from another machine that had a via
chipset.
It took a couple of days to find the nvidia software that Ubuntu
required but now almost everything looks good at 1024 X 768.
But not anything that runs in wine.
When I turn on the machine, the user name and the password screens are
too tall for the display and the color is totally wrong. But as Ubuntu
boots, the screen

Hi Dale,
I agree with you but how do you suggest convincing these software companies
to implement ogg support in their players? I can imagine Itunes and XMMS but
it's going to be harder for Windows Media Player and Winamp. Microsoft is
promoting its very own WMA. I guess they implemented mp3 because it was
already too popular to reject it. About Winamp, I don't know if Nullsoft is
going

retpoline mitigation and 6.0
Reid, is this what you fixed with r325049 that's also merged to 6.0?
If so, do we have everything that's needed, or is there anything else
I should wait for?
Chandler, do you have anything else? Also, release notes please :-)

I think I see what's going on, and I agree it looks like a bug. It was too
much to hope that later passes weren't going to mess with the PUSH
instruction. :(
While I was trying to reproduce your problem, I think I found another one
that looks like this:
$ clang -S -O2 -m32 -mregparm=3 -mretpoline spill_across_rp.cpp -o - |
grep _retpoline_push -B2
...
movl %eax, 8(%esp)

List Rules
Does anyone know if their are rules that this list is supposed to be
following? It doesn't appear to be moderated, so I realize that such
rules would be self-enforced, but it still might be good to agree on
some. Likewise, we could agree on none. That works also. Any
thoughts?
Some suggestions:
1) Be polite at all times. Imagine your grandmother reads this list.
2) If you can't be

How would you calculate this type of p-value using R?
Let's say you want to compare "one observation" with a sample, how would you
use R to get a p-value for that single observation itself?
To clarify what I'm asking: We know you use a one-sample t test to compare
an actual sample to a hypothetical value, and a Wilcoxon test if it's not
normally distributed, in R either "t.test( )" or "wilcox.test( )".
