Converting collection to 1.1.3
So, if I have a 50,000 flac files with perfect metadata encoded with <=1.1.2, I should... find . -type f -name "*.flac" -exec flac -8 {} \; -print And come back to my computer in about 24-48 hours? I've tested it on a small dir tree and it seemed to be fine. I just wanted to make sure though, before having to re-tag a couple terabytes of data. This is actually a serious

FLAC: editing software
I just tried this with Goldwave.. it decoded the file, i edited out some stuff, and saved the file (flac format) and the tags appear to be intact. 2nd attempt - Repairing vorbis files
Hello, No public anwer came to my previous post, and my problem is urgent, so I'm trying again. I'm using Ogg Vorbis since 2000 and some of my files appear to be damaged - at least some players reject some of them (WinAmp, Quintessential Media Player beta 116). Is there a repair tool for Windows which could rebuild vorbis files so that they all could be played in WinAmp, which is very

Some questions
First of all,... someone who uses "yahoo2" as name,...or insters "junk signatures" should simply be silent.... Secondly vcard is not junk, it's standardised via IETF/IMC. Get a proper client (mutt or so) which can filter vcards etc if you'd like to.... yahoo2 wrote: > At 06:43 AM 11/2/2006, Christoph Anton Mitterer wrote: > > Please stop attaching junk files.

Postfix won't relay after update to CentOS 4.4
Hi Everyone, My CentOS 4.4 mail server is having problems sending mail after updating it to 4.4 Before the update, I did not have any problems. My ISP requires that email clients must authenticate to their mail servers before mail can be sent out. I setup smtp auth to get postfix to relay mail through the ISP's mail servers. Here's my config: main.cf -------- relayhost =

Samba 4 - disabling SSLv3 to mitigate POODLE effects
Arg... that's a problem now.. we are not allowed to complie third party software in our dev enviroment, we are only allowed to use packages (that's why we use sernet-samba, which in fairness is great!). any plan to release a proper patch? ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Mario Pio Russo, System Admin SWG IT Services Dublin,

guys sorry to take this thread onboard once more, but I still can't get this sorted. I have compiled the latest tarball from samba, 4.2.2 . compilation works fine and after that I am able to upgrade from samba 3 with the following command: samba-tool domain classicupgrade --dbdir=/var/lib/samba-ccdc1/dbdir/ --use-xattrs=yes --realm=ccdc.lan /etc/samba/smb-ccdc1.conf 2>&1 | tee

Samba3 shares cannot be mounted on linux box uisng cifs command , error "CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -13"
well that's peculiar, as I am experiencing something different. in fact from ADUC I can see all the users belonging to the "domain users" groups. the authentication, however, does not work on that group, and the share "scrap" cannot be accessed with this config: valid users = @"Domain Users" however, I have created an auxiliarry group called domainusers

Problem with fts found against Dovecot hg; examples + trace attached
I've been wanting to try out Squat for full-text indexing for a while now, so I finally gave it a whirl. I did a fresh pull from hg. I have it enabled, but it's taking *forever* to do a query. (Using alpine, I issued a Select command for all messages with some word anywhere, which presumably caused the Squat indexer to run.) I think Dovecot is infinite looping. I thought something
