Rather serious flac problem
can you file a bug on sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=13478&atid=113478 and attach the first 100k of each file? it will help to debug since I don't have any wave files that cause this behavior. Rather serious flac problem
Okay.. I love flac but just had a rather serious failure that really shakes my confidence. It resulted in the near loss of a master audio recording. Fortunately, I have a backup. Though there may have been other cases where I have lost original material because I have been compressing a lot of originals and deleting them after doing a 'flac -t' on them. Basically, flac failed with a

[Flac-users] Re: my flac -t issue: next approach
It can but is probably not as nice as youwould like. flac -t *.flac if errorlevel 1 goto fail goto exit :fail echo Danger Will Robinson! Flac files failed integrity check. :exit For this reason cygwin and its bash for windows does a lot more. Notes on the batch file fragment above: if errorlevel 1 goto actually means if errorlevel 1 or greater so don't try if errorlevel 0 since it will

FLAC: how to dump seekpoints ?
Thank you all very much for making things clear. I had confused seekpoints and cuepoints indeed ! I propose that Kerry's definitions (below) be added to the documentation. regards, Phil ----- Mail d'origine ----- De: Kerry Hoath <kerry at gotss.net> ?: porte64 at free.fr Envoy?: Thu, 2 Apr 2009 11:28:04 +0200 (CEST) Objet: Re: [Flac] FLAC: how to dump seekpoints ? don't

Playing flac files from external hard drive
Hi Kerry, Thanks for the detailed information. I have seen some mp3 players that claim to play flac, so I think that this is not a problem any longer. My disk is formatted to FAT32 because in the past I tried to access it through some backwards Windows system and had to make sure it could be read by it. The only problem remains accessing the data through a USB connection, because the disk is

Memdisk + Freedos problem
I and some other people have problems with running the freedos image included in Ultimate Boot CD (UBCD), when using memdisk for floppy emulation. Memdisk starts booting the image and freedos shows the following menu: 0 Boot Clean 1 Boot UMBPCI (silent) 2 Boot UMBPCI (optimal) 3 Boot UMBPCI (semi-defensive) 4 Boot EMM386 (optimal) 5 Boot EMM386 (semi-defensive) 6 Boot no UMB (defensive) 7 Boot

DOS-Client with TCPIP and SAMBA
Hi there, I have a client in a network using a samba-server that has to use MSDOS, because some software running on it needs a clean DOS. I installed the DOS-Client for TCPIP that is available from Microsoft V 1.0 and it works fine; the only thing is, that it takes so much memory below 640 K, that another program also running under DOS does not function correctly anymore. Maybe some of the

Samba + Clipper problem!
Hi everyone, Here is the problem: I have a server running Red Hat 5.2 and Samba-2.0.4 as file server for about 20 diskless machines with MSClient boot disks (created with NT server SP3). The server shares a dir with a Clipper/DBF database for those clients and the EXE file is in a NT machine. For weeks I've been trying to put the things together but the clients always break

floppy image issues
Hi! sorry for the top post. I have had some troubles in the past trying to make equipment to boot a floppy with MS-DOS that also used ms networking to access the network. Particularly the Gateway GSX 500 cannot have the onboard NIC with PXE enabled, as it eats about 92k of highmemory, which in turn makes impossible to start Windows XP setup due to low memory. On that particular machine I had

Quick plot question
Is there an easy way to add an axis or just a simple line at the 0 position of a graph with positive and negative values. Specifically, I'ld like to add a zero line on a plot of residuals from a fit. I'm very new at R so if this is a dumb question feel free to let me know but I'ld still appreciate any help. Thanks Bernie -- _________________ Bernie Gardner Research Associate ECOS,

[memdisk] collision between memdisk and emm386 (FreeDOS)
Hi I'm using memdisk as part of CD Shell' isolinux. I've created custom floppy disk image 8440kB size. I've put FreeDOS kernel and bootsector into the floppy. Boot process goes fine with this command: isolinux /boot/memdisk initrd=/ximg/fdos.img c=60 h=8 s=36 floppy The problems begin when I try to run FreeDOS memory manager emm386 from the floppy image. my config.sys: ...

Booting an ISO with FreeDOS over PXE with memdisk
I've got $SUBJ almost working except for the DOS bit where the CD needs to be read. My pxe config: label Firmware menu label Update IPMI firmware kernel memdisk append keeppxe raw iso initrd=<isofile> The ISO is about 400Mb, and works fine when I boot it from an actual CDROM drive. It also boots fine over PXE, I can see FreeDOS being booted up etc. The problem is - once

Making DOS Boot Disks for Samba
Thanks to several very helpful souls on this list we have been able to replace ndis2 NIC drivers and boot successfully in DOS, map a Samba drive ... permitting us to use a DOS Ghost to build lab systems. The guy who figured this stuff out last year has left the college and I don't understand what protocols, or clients he used to support a DOS-Samba connection. (I'ld be lost if I had to

FYI Incompatibilities between recent versions of OpenSSH and Sun SSH
These problem aren't bugs per se but rather major version differences. Sun has finally published a FAQ on their SSH two days ago http://sunsolve.sun.com/pub-cgi/retrieve.pl?doc=finfodoc%2F50465&zone_32 =sshd The problem is rooted in the fact that Sun developed their SSH based on OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 That version came out in February of 2001. There have been a number of changes since then and
