Patch : fix configure.in and Makefile.am problems.
Note : I'm subscribed to the list. Please don't CC replies to me.
Hi all,
I am trying to compiler current CV head on a PowerPC G3 Debain system.
Debian test has automake 1.9 which is a little more stringent about
errors than 1.8. The following patch has the following fixes.
0) Remove AC_CANNONIAL_HOST because it has already been invoked
earlier

two problems with flac and ices 0.4 build
i'm trying to build ices0.4 and vorbis-tools 1.0.1 with flac 1.1.1.
Neither seems happy, hence the crossposting (sorry).
ICES0.4

ices refuses to see the libFLAC library, even if i specify
--with-flac=/usr/local/lib (or even just --with-flac=/usr/local/, as the
configure script seems to look in the lib and include subdirectories of
the specified path?). i get a configure error:

flac with >4GB raw still does not work (CVS)
I'm attempting to flac a 18GB raw file, and as per 1328191 I compiled
CVS, when it gets to 4GB it doesn't continue. I've tried stracing and
get no output after a certain point. I also have tried oggflac and it
is no different. I configured with no options or special CFLAGS and
this is on a x86 machine. Is there anything special I need to do to
get this to work?
I have also tried with

Problems building vorbis tools 1.0.1
hi!
I've got some problems compiling/linking the vorbis tools.
at first I had the same problem as mentioned here:
http://www.xiph.org/archives/vorbis-dev/200201/0005.html
(make was looking for libogg.la in the wrong path)
but creating a symlink to /usr/local/lib/libogg.la in /usr/lib/ helped. :)
having solved this, I get a new error:

gcc -O20 -ffast-math -fsigned-char -o ogg123

Compiling FLAC for tremor and StrongARM
Hi,
I'm developing squash (shameless plug:
http://freshmeat.net/projects/squash/ ), and I've just added FLAC
support. I'm going to hold off on OggFLAC support until the high level
interface is in place.
However, my question concerns compiling libFLAC for the strongarm.
First I noticed that I could not use the files compiled by tremor, which
I have already working. I suppose

Well, the packages we are having trouble here are:
flac 1.1.0 (let me check... libOggFLAC version-info 1:2:0)
debian package: liboggflac1 (matches

H IV0,
we are using a lot of different cross-compiler (mainly based on GCC 3.4.x)

Most of the programs don't use libogg or libm directly and should not

[PATCH] Fix building with MSYS and MinGW(-w64); Improve Makefile.lite build system
Hello,
This is a patch to allow building of the project using MSYS, MinGW, and
MinGW-w64 with the following invocation:
make -f Makefile.lite libFLAC libFLAC++ flac metaflac test_libs_common
test_libFLAC test_libFLAC++ test_grabbag test_seeking test_streams utils
examples
This patch addresses eight points:
1. `uname -p` in MSYS returns "unknown" so we must use `gcc
-dumpmachine`

CCing upstream on this. Josh, did 1.1.1 change interfaces in liboggflac?
If so, it needs a soname change.
