[LLVMdev] Cross-compiling llvm/clang osx -> win32
Hi, I'm trying to compile llvm/clang so that: it is compiled on osx 10.6, it runs on osx, but it outputs win32 objects. More exactly, I'm building an app which generates a .c file that doesn't include or link with anything, and I'd like to be able to make a win32 .dll of it on osx. Below is what I'm getting. Full log is here: http://pastebin.com/KsPGvAfW It fails while

[PATCH] Add ARM cpu detection for iDevices

I found this page useful for CPU support and models: http://iossupportmatrix.com/ The patch could be simplified to just set the OPUS_CPU_ARM_NEON flag if you think it's unlikely that anyone would be running on the really old devices that

[LLVMdev] LinkModules triple/datatype mismatch warnings a bit strict?
Hi, I'm fairly new at poking around in llvm internals so if you find misconceptions / problems with the below let me know, this is just how I've understood this so far. When doing a build which uses functionality from LinkModules to combine bitcode from different versions of LLVM, or between LLVM-GCC (I know) and Clang, I've noticed that multiple warnings which sometimes seem

Diff to add ARMv6L to Target parser
Hi all. I’ve been working with Swift on ARMv6 and v7. While working with ARMv6 on linux, I noticed that my arm architecture canonicalization code didn’t produce the expected result. The code that I had been using (within Swift’s Driver.cpp the following: static llvm::Triple computeTargetTriple(StringRef DefaultTargetTriple) { llvm::Triple triple = llvm::Triple(DefaultTargetTriple); //

[LLVMdev] '___ltsf2' could not be resolved - iOS/ARM cross compile
Hi there, I’m building llvm for my iOS devices, and all seems to work well, until I try to execute the results: LLVM ERROR: Program used external function '___ltsf2' which could not be resolved! This appears to be part of compiler-rt which as far as I can see should be built / linked automatically when installed correctly? Am I missing something obvious? Thanks, .m

We've only added support for ARMv7 (including cortex-a8) in llvm in the last week or so, and the associated changes for llvm-gcc are still pending. Unless you need specific

[LLVMdev] compiler-rt compile problem for 32bit OS X
I'm running into a compile problem with commit 131656 of compiler-rt. I'm compiling llvm with: $ CXX='g++ -m32' CC='gcc -m32' CFLAGS=-m32 CXXFLAGS=-m32 LDFLAGS=-m32 ./configure --disable-bindings --{build,host,target}=i686-apple-darwin --enable-targets=x86,x86_64,cbe --enable-optimized $ make $ make install It will eventually error out with:

[ANNOUNCE] pixman major release 0.34.0 now available
A new pixman release 0.34.0 is now available. This is a major release, following three development releases in the past six months. It contains all the changes detailed in the last three development releases in the 0.33 series. Please note that this release doesn't contain any changes since the previous development version (0.33.6) was released. For those who didn't follow the

NEON detection under iOs
Hi, I believe some Neon code doesn't get invoked properly, because all PRESUME macros were set in my build. Probably not all optimized functions are called directly under iOS. Regards, Victor -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan Lennox Sent: Thursday, August 30, 2018 11:59 AM To: Victor Cherepanov Cc: opus at xiph.org Subject: Re: [opus] NEON detection under iOs On iOS, configure

NEON detection under iOs
On iOS, configure should define OPUS_ARM_PRESUME_NEON and OPUS_ARM_PRESUME_NEON_INTR if you’re building for armv7, and OPUS_ARM_PRESUME_NEON_INTR for arm64 (since every Apple armv7 CPU has supported Neon, and of course arm64 supports it though the assembler syntax is different). This should be slightly faster than using RTCD, since the Neon functions can be direct calls instead of indirect ones.

[ANNOUNCE] pixman 0.33.2 release candidate now available
A new pixman release 0.33.2 is now available. This is a release candidate for a stable 0.34.0 release. This release comes after little more than 1 year since the previous release (0.32.6). Therefore, the git log is quite long and there are multiple changes, fixes and enhancements. The main changes are: - ARMv6 - Many fast paths implementations were added - PPC64/PPC64LE - Fix all outstanding

[LLVMdev] -O4 limitations in llvm/llvm-gcc-4.2 2.5?
What exactly are the current limitations for using -O4 to create shared libraries with llvm/llvm-gcc-4.2 2.5? I tried a build of xplor-nih at -O4 with llvm-gcc, llvm-g++ and llvm-gfortran. The build fails to link shared libraries with errors such as... Building xplor-nih for platform: Darwin_9_x86 [ -d /Users/howarth/xplor-nih-2.21/bin.Darwin_9_x86/ ] || mkdir

[LLVMdev] using llvm-ld with existing libraries
I am seeing the same problems using 'llvm-ld' with llvm-gcc at -O4 on x86_64 Fedora 8 linux as on Darwin. Another example of this is building the scimark2_1c benchmark... http://math.nist.gov/scimark2/download_c.html as follows on x86_64 Fedora 8... /home/howarth/llvm-gcc42-work/bin/gcc -O4 -m64 -c FFT.c /home/howarth/llvm-gcc42-work/bin/gcc -O4 -m64 -c kernel.c

[LLVMdev] ARM assembler's syntax in clang
Hi Ashi, > ld: illegal text-relocation to _data_table in table.o from foo in > use_table.o for architecture armv7 It looks like you're using iOS. I'm not familiar with the exact workings of that platform, but I think a similar message would occur in ELF-land. If iOS *is* comparable, your issue is that symbols in dynamically loaded objects can't (usually) be referenced directly
