Centos DVD -
I have been trying to run Centos 6 and 7
in virtualbox on this Fedora23 computer.
Actually I also tried Scientific Linux
and a DVD copy of Fedora 21 XFCE Live
that I had on hand. The Fedora21 works
as expected but I seem to be missing
something in Centos and Scientific
Linux. They boot and run with a text
screen but startx reports "command not
found" and a ping to other than

Need yumex in centos 6.4 -
I've just installed centos 6.4 from a live spin I had but can't get it
to install yumex or xfce for that matter.
What is the secret? Or can it not be done ...

Install without LVM -
How do I install from the centos 6.5 dvd without LVM? Nothing I have
tried will permit me to make my own layout unless I accept LVM.

termplot intervals - SE or CI?
From ?termplot:
col.se, lty.se, lwd.se: color, line type and line width for the
?twice-standard-error curve? when ?se = TRUE?.
...which is findable, but might usefully also be made explicit in the definition of the se= argument.

termplot intervals - SE or CI?
Thanks for your prompt reply Duncan.
I had indeed assumed they were what the help file says until observation raised doubts, which is why I queried it.
>From reading the code for termplot(), it seems that either the predict() function doesn't return the 1x standard error, or the curves plotted by the termplot() function are not 1x standard errors. If they're not 1x standard errors,

Yumex in 6.5 minimal -
When I start yumex as user it displays but stops with an error message
that the backend is not running.
However "yumex --root" starts and runs normally.
It is Centos 6.5 64 bit and using XFCE running in virtualbox if that
matters.
Any suggestion as to what I am missing?

Centos-7 XFCE -
I've installed centos 7 64 bit and would like to install xfce and yumex.
I've had no success doing either despite installing the EPEL repo. I
keep getting "no package yumex available."
Are they available and if so what am I doing wrong?

termplot intervals - SE or CI?
Hello,
A reviewer queried what the intervals were on the termplot I provided in a report. The help file for termplot() suggests they're standard errors (se=T), but in the code the se.fit values from predict() are multiplied by 2, suggesting it's a rough 95% confidence interval, is that right?
Many thanks,

Net/Https & active_rbac & Debian Sarge
Hi,
I''m attempting an install of active_rbac but am having some troubles.
I''m running Debian 3.1 sarge and I am getting an error saying that I
need to have net/https installed.
I checked out my ruby lib and net/https.rb is nowhere to be found.
I''m running the default ruby for Sarge which is 1.8.2. Was https.rb not
included in this build?
How can I get around this? I

[LLVMdev] glod plugin use
Hi,
I was trying to use gold plugin to compile and run some of my passes on some large softwares like mysql, apache etc. When I compile using llvm-gcc, everything works fine. But, when I followed the instructions on http://llvm.org/docs/GoldPlugin.html#build to use gold plugin, I got errors like:

Saving a User Object while in the Address Controller
Hi,
My saves are failing me and I can''t figure out why.
I am trying to save an address id to a user object just after I create
the address.
This isn''t the exact code, but it shows what I am trying to do.
class AddressesController < ApplicationController

[LLVMdev] Heads up! Working on bugpoint
I just checked in my changes to bugpoint and Makefile.programs in the
test suite. These changes shouldn't conflict with yours.
revision 75292
revision 75293
bugpoint now works for remote ARM if you run it directly from the
command line. It doesn't work correctly when invoked from the test
makefile because envvar PWD is being set to /bin/pwd and so causing

[LLVMdev] Heads up! Working on bugpoint
David,
Please find attached 2 diffs. Please notice that RemoteRunSafely.sh may get moved to the test suite sub-tree.
We have targeted different areas fso far which is great.
What's your plan?
I have been thinking of using -run-custom and -safe-run-custom argumants for the cross-tools to keep bugpoint out of knowing any
target details ans such.
Best regards,
Viktor
