trouble building XiphQT
Arek,
This is awesome information. Why not chuck it on the web page at
http://xiph.org/quicktime/development.html ?
Cheers,
Silvia.

XiphQT OggImport component on OS X link error
I am trying to build the OggImport component using Xcode 3.0. Since I
am a fan of frameworks, I have the XIPHQT_USE_FRAMEWORKS define set.
Anyhow, I am getting a link error as listed below.
Ld /Users/jeff/programming/xiph-qt/OggImport/build/Development/
OggImport.component/Contents/MacOS/OggImport normal i386
cd /Users/jeff/programming/xiph-qt/OggImport

XiphQT with Thusnelda for QuickTime X
Any progress in this issue? Or is the whole XiphQT project dead?
Any 64bit package of XiphQT for MacOSX Snow Leopard on its way? Any solution on its way, which works with Quicktime X on Snow Leopard and which doesn't urge/force you to install and use the old Quicktime 7 player? Any solution on its way, solving the /Library/Components problem on MacOSX Snow Leopard/Quicktime X?

Producing oggs with XiphQT - testers needed!
Dear all,
As the next version of XiphQT is mostly ready, I thought it could use
some more wide pre-release testing.
The major change since last release is the addition of Ogg exporter
and Vorbis and Theora encoders. Any feedback on how this new
functionality performs (or doesn't!) with audio/video
editing/producing software will really help. Also, comments and
suggestions on the work of

Compiling the Xiph QuickTime component project in Xcode 3.2
Hello,
I've sent this question to flac-dev not realizing that QT development
belongs in ogg-dev. As it pertains more to the QT component than to
the FLAC project itself, I thought I'd repeat the question here in
hopes of some kind of suggestions or pointers. I'm basically
attempting to compile the Xiph QuickTime component project, which
fails to build. Its dependencies compile fine,

Compiling in Xcode
Hello everyone,
I'm not sure whether this is the best place to send the question, but since I'm mostly interested in FLAC and there didn't appear to be a better place for it.. here goes.
I pulled the latest source code from the SVN repo along with all the external dependencies including FLAC. I've been able to compile the FLAC.framework file using the 10.5 SDK in Xcode 3.2 with a

XiphQT pre-release builds
Hi,
I've just built fresh binaries of XiphQT - with trunks of Xiph libs
and FLAC from the end of the last year. Code-wise there are few
changes in the components since the last release: a memory leak fixed
and the recently reported issue with iMovie'08 solved.
I'd appreciate any help testing, especially on PPC as I don't have
access to that architecture anymore. You can find the

FLAC codec in OS X Leopard
I upgraded to Leopard (version 10.5 of OS X) a few weeks ago.
Although I was a bit disappointed, but not surprised, to see that FLAC
support isn't built natively into the OS, I was very happy to notice
recently that Apple ships source code for a FLAC encoder and decoder
codec component in /Developer/Examples/CoreAudio/AudioCodecs/
FLAC.xcodeproj.
All that is necessary to build the

Is FLAC fully cooked for OS X yet?
OK, so I've been trying for a day now to get FLAC implementation in
our apps. Suffice it to say that due to the "interesting"
documentation and the inability to compile this thing from the
source, I'm not sure we can do it yet. I am writing in to see if
there's anything I'm missing before I make the conclusion that we
have to wait...

flac in xiphqt seemengly behaves incorrectly playing 24bit files
Hello,
upon installing flac1.2.1 and xiphqt0.1.9 component on a mac, 24bit
flac files, whose integrity has been proven and which otherwise decode
and reproduce flawlessly, play in quicktime player with wrong volume,
i.e exactly 2^8 = 256 times too loud.
I guess, the appropriate amplitude scaling routine might have been
accidentally omitted somewhere in the code.
In case this issue goes

XiphQT doesn't export to Ogg Theora
Hi ,
I tried XiphQT with QuickTime to view all Ogg Theora files and works
perfectly.
I also try to import these Ogg Theora files into iMovie and works perfectly.
But there is a lack of export Ogg Theora function into QuickTime.
XiphQT component works well but you can't make Ogg Theora files.
There is a way to open a new ticket for this request?

flac files playable in iTunes 5.0.1 ?
Hi,
Is the recent version 0.1.5 (08.05.2006) of XiphQT compatible with
iTunes 5.0.1 and Mac OSX 10.4? I am trying to get flac files to play
in my iTunes and hope I don't have to upgrade iTunes and get all the
junk that comes with it. i already have ogg support, so this is an
incremental improvement.

XiphQT 0.1.5 released.
Dear all,
Just an announcement about the recent visible activity in the Xiph
QuickTime Components project.
Version 0.1.5 is out. The most important new feature in this release,
besides Intel Mac compatibility and a number of bug fixes, is support
(decoding) for another two formats from the Xiph family: FLAC and
Theora. The Theora decoder is actually very recent work, but that's
