option to push "duplicate frame" packet to oggmux
Hallo all,
I started this discussion today on gstreamer.irc and ogg-dev list. So
there seems to be different results. Probably i need to fill a bug on
gstreamer...
here was my question to ogg-dev

Webcam streaming with ptalarbvorm
Hey all! I'm sure you've all been missing my webcam stream, so I
decided to start it up again (also, I wanted to do it for my family
overseas).
However, this time, I'm doing things a little bit differently. For
starters, the encoder is the current (as of about an hour ago)
ptalarbvorm branch which is destined to become libtheora 1.2. Another
difference is that I'm using

Need a help on Online Video Streaming using IceCast
Hello,
We are working on the Radio station project and we are trying to implement
the Live Video Streaming module using Icecast server with VLC player.
We have installed and configured the Icecast into our server. Also, we have
installed the VLC player in our local desktop computer.
The USB webcam(200 CMOS UCAM - DLC220T) has been connected into my machine.
Now we are trying to live video

how to set default audio track?
Typically video players will play back the last audio track in a Ogg
Theora file, because it is the last one that they see.
There is no way to specify which is the "default" audio track and it
would not make sense anyway. If you are a German speaker, your
"default" would be the German audio track - if you are a native
English speaker, it would be the English audio track. So,

OGM and GStreamer
Well, actually most OGM files do have a subtitle track, often in
multiple langauges.
Also, re 2. Keyframe seeking in OGM is generally a bit rough because ogm
files can contain almost any codec as the video track, usually xvid or divx.
re 1. As a general rule you shouldn't be trying to make any more ogm
files :) So chances are the ogg muxer is not accepting the connection,
because it

DirectShow PushSource with theora encoder and Ogg muxer filters
Hi all,
I am trying to test DirectShow PushSource example from the SDK with
Theora encoder and Ogg muxer (DirectShow filters of course) by using
GraphEdit tool. My goal is capturing the screen as video by taking
snaphot bitmaps continuosly (what PushSource eaxmple does) and giving
them to the Theora encoder through the DS pipeline (next goal is
transmitting this video **).
My DirectShow graph is

Question on framerate
Hi,
This is probably a slightly odd question....
Is there anyway to decrease packetization? I'm using voip over a
wireless network, and framerate is extremely important!
Is it possible to reduce the framerate? Right now it's using about 90
frames/sec in to the phone and 40 frames/sec out from the phone (back
to the PBX)

Low Framerate in Oblivion
I've been getting max 10 FPS in Oblivion, even with extremely low graphics settings. Any ideas why? I didn't have any problems with running Oblivion on Windows, and even for Wine this seems quite low. I think it might be my graphics card drivers possibly.
OS: Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic
GPU: nVidia 8600M GT
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2 GHz
GPU Driver: Version 195 (I got it by going System ->

Reading framerate, height, width from Theora file
I'd like to get basic information about a Theora file using C# .NET. How can
I get started on this?
I know there's oggz-info and other utilities, but I'd like to do this
straight from in .NET. What's the documentation page to find more on this?
Can I just read the first x bytes of the video corresponding to each field?
I found this page which I think is what I need, but I'm

OGM and GStreamer
Hi All!
I have some troubles with OGG and GStreamer:
1) When I parsing ogg file with ogmdemux element, I recieve (in
"pad-added" signal callback) video pad as "application/x-ogm-video", but
not as "video/something". And that why I can't link It to the oggmux
element and write new OGG file :(
2) I'am using "playbin" to play media file, but It

Move listeners problems
Hi!
I'm using Icecast 2.3.1 (xubuntu Hardy) and have problems moving
listeners. I thought it had to do with the client, but now that I've
tested cortado, mplayer and vlc I've begun to think it is actually the
server. I'm using the web administration interface to move listeners,
get '1' as result code but all clients hang after the buffer is empty.
Any ideas/pointers?

A/V sync strategies
I tried to encode some video from a DVD with encoder_example and
ffmpeg2theora, and it looked great, except that with both encoders the
A/V sync would drift noticeably after about 10 minutes, and by the end
of a two hour movie it would be a couple seconds off. So instead of just
whining about this and waiting for someone else to fix it, I decided to
try to learn about what's causing the
