[patch] enable annodex firefox plugin for application/ogg
Hi there !
This patch adds support for the registered mime type application/ogg to
the annodex firefox plugin.
Depending on your view of the issue, some more mime types should
probably be handled by the annodex firefox plugin [1,2].
Have a nice day,

[patch] enable annodex firefox plugin for application/ogg
FYI: I included video/ogg into liboggplay, too.
For audio/ogg, another application would probably make more sense.
Cheers,
Silvia.

[patch] enable annodex firefox plugin for application/ogg
Hi Nils,
I have applied your patch to browser_plugin at the annodex svn, thanks.
Also just making sure you know: Mozilla has picked up liboggplay as a
library for firefox, but has not included the browser_plugin - instead
it is using their own javascript API as picked up from WHATWG's HTML5
specification. http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/source/content/media/video/

[PATCH] liboggplay - kate support, build fixes, and misc
Hi,
I've added kate support to liboggplay (a prerequisite to getting kate tracks
to work with the mozilla plugin, which I've now got working on Linux).
In addition to the Kate code:
- a new oggplay-uninstalled.pc file
- configure.ac checks for C++ compiler
- no check for fishsound version - it wanted 0.8.0, but the svn itself
was 0.7.1 !?
- don't use imlib2 (nor dump-first-frame) if

SOC 2010
Do we want to do summer of code 2010 this year? The deadline to apply as
an organization is Friday the 12th. I know we have not had very high
success rate, but it seems there are plenty of small well defined
focused area projects that could use some love. Just the
ogg-index-migration list for example:

OGM and GStreamer
Well, actually most OGM files do have a subtitle track, often in
multiple langauges.
Also, re 2. Keyframe seeking in OGM is generally a bit rough because ogm
files can contain almost any codec as the video track, usually xvid or divx.
re 1. As a general rule you shouldn't be trying to make any more ogm
files :) So chances are the ogg muxer is not accepting the connection,
because it

While this is possible to do it this way (and probably a good idea for the
examples like a clock in a corner), it implies that all the placements and
logically different "items" are known at the start of the stream (since the

OGM and GStreamer
Hi All!
I have some troubles with OGG and GStreamer:
1) When I parsing ogg file with ogmdemux element, I recieve (in
"pad-added" signal callback) video pad as "application/x-ogm-video", but
not as "video/something". And that why I can't link It to the oggmux
element and write new OGG file :(
2) I'am using "playbin" to play media file, but It

Ogg/Kate preliminary documentation
Hi,
I recognize the main name behind CMML here :)
Does the redesigning of CMML allow overlapping clips ?
This is the main reason of my current ramblings about seeking.
While karaoke was one of the initial goals behind kate, it is just
a way the format can be used with (in fact, the format itself does
not refer to karaoke at all, but styles and motions).
At the moment, it is a fairly versatile

video chapters and subtitles in ogg containers

Would you mind expanding on what chapters are, and what you'd expect
to be able to do with them ?

video chapters and subtitles in ogg containers
I'm trying to create files that contain a video stream, one or more
audio streams, subtitles, and DVD-like chapter information.
ATM, I use ogm containers that can handle all this. But although ogm
is supported e.g. by xine (including chapters), it seems to be an
unofficial hack. Is that correct?
I'd like to move to ogg containers, since ogm doesn't support theora
videos. My final

AW: How to do Theora playback efficiently ?
Hi Ralph,
thanks for your posting.
Yes, the standard example player in the theora distribution could also do it
when theora would not need so much time. I removed the frame dropping from
the example because it's based on some audio stuff under Linux that isn't
available on Windows. Currently I've no frame dropping handling build in
because the first goal is a good raw performance of

How to seek theora streams
I need to be exposed to a way of seeking theora streams. I have repeatedly found the same question asked on a different forums but could not find an answer. I'm working on a game and started integrating video with theora, the sound works just fine with ogg/vorbis(i find it easy to seek using ov_raw_seek for audio files). Could someone please point me to some example/code of how can i seek with

How to get the duration of a file or track?
I'm starting with the theora player_example.c. I want to be able to
determine the duration of the audio/video ahead of time, to be able to
display it somewhere.
I can't see anything obvious in ogg.h, theora.h, or vorbis.h for this.
Can anyone help me with the right place to look to do this?
Thanks,

Ah, yes, and CMML supplies a way to specify addresses which are
then interpreted by this algorithm. Have I got that right ?
