Well, vorbis-only vorbisfile is what we're talking about. What Sylvia

work on OggFile/OggStream
I've rehashed the model for the libogg2 convience library, seperating it into
two libraries in the effort to allow 3rd party media frameworks to more directly
utilize the functions provided by OggFile, while still providing VorbisFile-like
convience for the most common uses of Ogg encoders/decoders.
In this new model, liboggstream provides the functionality of "codec plugins",

Editing comments in Vorbis files...
I tryed this piece of code to write a second file with the same comments
in it but the program always crash on vcedit_write()... I'm unable to
figure out why it is crashing. Compiled under Visual Stucio .NET 2003
with ogg.dll and vorbis.dll linked dynamically! vcomment doesn't crash

cvs trunk vorbis/ compile patches
ltconfig placeholder shoud be removed.
Makefile.am : some stuff copied from branch_beta3
ogg lib must be added only where necesary.
vq subdir Makefile.am'ized, (but installs nothing)
made distclean target slightly more clean
-- check it by hand first, please ---
also you'll want to remove vq/Makefile if the ...am passes inspection

[Flac-users] error: FLAC required!
Hi everybody!
I'm in trouble again, could you help me?
This time I can't get deal with "flac-tools" and other programs that use
libFLAC. They just refuse compiling and complain for some functions indefinition.
I have flac-1.0.4 already installed with ordinary: ./configure && make && make install.
Read down for the details please.

Problems with ogg/vorbis python bindings.
I compiled and installed pyogg followed by pyvorbis, running:
$ ./config_unix.py
$ python setup.py build
and as root:
# python setup.py install
for pyogg and pyvorbis in turn. This completed without error, however
upon trying to import ogg.vorbis in IDLE I get an import error:
ImportError: libvorbisfile.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such

Trying to figure out the library...
I'm new to this list so... Hello everyone :)
Anyway, I want to use Ogg in my Windows-based game but am having trouble
figureing out how to get the library to work. I downloaded the "Windows
SDK" snapshot and included all the relevant files in my MSVC++ 6.0 project
on Windows 2000, but the examples do not run due to memory overruns. Here
is some code I tried to run, which is, as

redhat vorbis install
I hope I'm not being an idiot, but I'm attempting to install vorbis-1.0
RPMs on a few redhat machines and failing horribly. I'm in dependency
hell.
For starters, libao-0.8.3-1 requires libasound.so.2 (an alsa library?)
which does not seem to be available in any recent redhat releases.
Then vorbis-tools wants libcurl.so.2, which makes redhat 7.2 machines
choke.
Worst of all is

Squelch 1.0beta9
Hi,
I released Squelch 1.0beta9.
It's a multi-platform Ogg Vorbis player, if you haven't heard of it. [1]
Find it here: http://www.geoid.clara.net/rik/squelch.html
Differences from beta8:
* Vorbis comment editor ! [2]
* More intelligent re-initialisation of output driver.
* Stupid bugs in auto-update of master track list resolved.
* Some bugs fixed, some more introduced ;)
In theory,

Shipping development files for mingw32
Hi,
Is is possible to ship development files for MinGW32
like static libs and headers? I am particularly interested
in libvorbisfile required to build Wesnoth on Windows.
SDL2 provides a convenient distribution that I unpack
and it works:

But I can't find where I

Building on BeOS part 3
After fixing a 'bug' in libtool, I've finally got ogg compiling and producing
a shared library. Now I'm trying to build vorbis but I'm falling over
at the final step. While trying to produce libvorbisfile.
The make file is trying to compile with
gcc -nostart vorbisfile.o -L/boot/home/config/lib -logg -Wl,-soname -

vorbisfile.o givng me problems
I have been having problems compling vorbis on my computer( running redhat
7.1 ), it gives me a bunch of errors about vorbisfile.o( at least that what
the errors are complaining about...I don't know enough to figure out what is
wrong ).
Below is the output I get from compile:
