Hi all, With the patch I mailed earlier today, I found out a few adjustments could be made to the compression level settings.This retuning speeds up the encoding and improves compression, while not changing anything decoding-wise. I wrote a patch that enables FLAC__BYTES_PER_WORD==8 in libFLAC/bitreader.c and libFLAC\bitwriter.c. The tests were done on an Intel Nehalem CPU, and flac was compiled with CGG 4.9.x. But what if I want to save this code to disk, quit, relaunch my app at some later time, reload the previously generated code off disk, and execute it? How can I do that?
