[PATCH] Remove even more CPP hackery
This commit will break OS/2's EMX 0.9d library (GCC 2.8.1) which has been been replaced by klibc. Considering the age of EMX and lack of testing and that klibc contains so many improvements I think this is exceptable. --- include/FLAC/ordinals.h | 17 +++++++++-------- src/flac/main.c | 2 +- src/libFLAC/metadata_iterators.c | 2 +-

flac-1.1.0: libtool warnings
Hi, And thanks for flac. There's a minor problem when compiling flac: libtool warns about mixing up shared and static libraries. Typical messages are: *** Warning: Linking the shared library libxmms-flac.la against the *** static library ../../src/plugin_common/libplugin_common.a is not portable! *** Warning: Linking the shared library libxmms-flac.la against the *** static library

make dllimport/dllexport attributes work with mingw (and others)
The following patch changes export.h so that the dllimport/dllexport attributes work with mingw/mingw-w64 and others: - changes _declspec keyword to __declspec: the former may not be defined by some toolchains. - changes the _MSC_VER condition to universally _WIN32: MSVC, as well as GCC supports this. Attached patch: declspec.diff Regards. -- O.S. -------------- next part --------------

Patch for cross compilation with MinGW32
Hello, I had some difficulties compiling the current git ( http://git.xiph.org/?p=flac.git;a=commit;h=a7e3705d051bafd1cae90f6605287cc1d9f2a18d ) using the Ubuntu 12.04 supplied MinGW32 cross compiler: I configured the FLAC build with --host=i586-mingw32msvc --target=i586-mingw32msvc --build=i586-linux but ran into several linker problems. Are these options somehow wrong? It worked fine when

FLAC on ARM Cortex-M4
I'd like to compress a 32 kHz 16-bit mono using an STM32F4 microcontroller. My plan is to capture from 500-1000 ms of data, compress, and send the result over a UART. I have the arm-none-eabi tools installed on MacOS. I used homebrew to install autoconf, automake, and libtool. autogen.sh succeeded and I was able to create my makefiles using the following: *./configure

make fullcheck fails: strtod/atof and locale
make fullcheck fails on my computer: flac cannot recognize --skip option that contains decimal point, e.g. "--skip=1.234". System locale uses comma as a separator, so strtod/atof expect comma, not point, and "make fullcheck" fails. Here's what I can see in FLAC source code: atof() function found in: file: src/share/grabbag/seektable.c function:

[PATCH] Fix building with MSYS and MinGW(-w64); Improve Makefile.lite build system
Hello, This is a patch to allow building of the project using MSYS, MinGW, and MinGW-w64 with the following invocation: make -f Makefile.lite libFLAC libFLAC++ flac metaflac test_libs_common test_libFLAC test_libFLAC++ test_grabbag test_seeking test_streams utils examples This patch addresses eight points: 1. `uname -p` in MSYS returns "unknown" so we must use `gcc -dumpmachine`

Building FLAC with LTO
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Tried to do this, gcc complained a lot about undefined references. After a bit of mucking with the code, i came up with a few patches. This might be a good conversation starter. The build that i've got out of this does pass the testsuite. To enable LTO you just need to apply these (for non-W32 builds you probably only need one of the patches)

flac 1.3.0pre3 pre-release
Hi all, The latest pre-release is here: http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/flac/beta/flac-1.3.0pre3.tar.xz but there will probably need to be at least one more. I've tested this on x86_64-linux powerpc-linux i386-openbsd5.2 i386-freebsd9 The majority of changes since the last pre-release is the addition of Janne Hyv?rinen's utf8 I/O functionality. Janne's

[PATCH 0/5] update build system
This patch series modernizes various aspects of the autotools based build system. There is a lot more that could and should be done, but I tried to stay conservative for now and just resolve some of the most obvious issues. Max Horn (5): configure: replace XIPH_C_FIND_ENDIAN by AC_C_BIGENDIAN autogen.sh: replace this by a simple call to autoreconf configure: always print
