Memory leaks due to Metadata object vorbis comment API ???
Hi List, I recently was assigned a task to port FLAC Encoder to our embedded platform. Thanks to OO-like design of the libFLAC and throught documentation, that porting went like a charm. I had some problems with chmod/chown like routines while porting but I was able to safely remove that piece of code without any trouble. I have observed that the my application FLAC Encoder failes in

PATCH : Fix missing protoypes
Hi all, I added -Wmissing-prototypes -Wstrict-prototypes to the CFLAGS and found that there were a number warnings generated. The patch below fixes those warnings and adds the two -W flags to configure.in. [PATCH] Fix fuction prototypes/definitions with void argument
Hi, the patch below fixes function prototypes/defintions with void argument to shut up the heartful warnings by recent gcc :) It doesn't cover all places, e.g. test directories. The patch is to 1.1.2. Disk fragmentation
I have been running a lot of large compression tests to see how well Martijn van Beurden's new presets do and was once again reminded how real the fragmentation problem still is. To have decent speed it's necessary to run multiple encoders in parallel. In my setup FLAC was compressing four files at the same time and each instance writes tiny bits of data to disk at once. A

Assistance with an encoding plugin
Hi, I'm working on writing a FLAC encoding plugin for a personal cd ripping project of mine which uses paranoia for the raw audio extraction. My basic setup which follows gets me oddly high pitched audio with lots of noise (although the music IS somewhat recognizable). #include <FLAC/stream_encoder.h> FLAC__StreamEncoder *encoder; FILE *output_file_descriptor; encoder =

[PATCH 0/5] Debian patches for 1.1.3
Hi Josh, Here are all the patches that are currently applied to the Debian packages for flac. You may disagree with some of them but as the current maintainer, I'm submitting them all for your consideration. (I should've submitted them earlier, but I've been quite busy. Sorry!) Here is a listing of the patches that I'll be sending: Patch 1 fixes a simple typo in metaflac

Problems in flac-website Git files.
1) changelog.html "Add ability to handle utf8 filenames on Windows (large set of patches from Janne Hyv?rinen)" AFAIK Windows internally uses UTF-16LE, not UTF-8. IMHO it's better to use a general word 'Unicode' instead of 'utf8'. 2) documentation_bugs.html "The following are major known bugs in the current (1.2.1) release:" 1.2.1 is not the current

bwlimit patch.
Hi, I Emailed this afternoon that bwlimit leads to a much too low bwlimit if small amounts of data are sent in each write. I wrote a small patch now. Congrats on the code: It's nice and clean: I wrote a working patch in 5 minutes after examining a total of 25 lines of code. (My backup used to require two hours of small sleeps alone, which should be reduced by a factor of 8....)

kde-window-decorator crash in destructor
Hi, After getting a bug report in Debian [1] about kde-window-decorator crashing in some destructors, I found several other similar reports in Ubuntu [2], KDE [3] (marked as invalid) and also on this mailing list several months ago [4] without any interesting reply. The backtrace is available in all these bugs, especially in [1]. I was about to open a bug at bugzilla.freedesktop.org but first: *
