Trying to link against libFLAC_static.lib (windows)
Hi. I'm trying to get a project linking to libFLAC_static.lib but I get linker errors such as the following. 6>AudioDecoder.lib(CFlacDecoder.obj) : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol __imp__FLAC__stream_decoder_process_until_end_of_metadata referenced in function "protected: int __thiscall CFlacDecoder::CreateDecoder(void)" (?CreateDecoder at CFlacDecoder@@IAEHXZ)

Compile problems on OSX
Hi all, I've got two problems compiling the current CVS FLAC sources on OSX. Firstly, the configure script can't find the OGG libraries which were installed from MacPorts. I have tried: ./configure --with-ogg-includes=/opt/local/include \ --with-ogg-lib=/opt/local/lib but they are still not found. I notice that in configure.in, you use a macro called XIPH_PATH_OGG. Is

Upstreaming Gentoo patches
Dear FLAC devs, I would like to get some of our patches merged into master. Most of them deal with adhering to GNU conventions, respectively not overriding flags/variables that are up to the user to set. For instance, honoring $(htmldir) is important, as we have installation paths for the documentation that differ from what is currently coded in the various Makefile.am's. Regards David

[PATCH] fix compile errors with asm disabled
The #endifs are mismatched, and my builds were failing because lpc_restore_signal* weren't getting declared. I've also commented the endifs to make them easier to match. Also, is there any reason #ifdefs for FLAC__HAS_NASM and FLAC__CPU_IA32 are separate and nested the way they are and not combined like this?: #if defined(FLAC__CPU_IA32) && defined(FLAC__HAS_NASM) I'm not

Q: test for CPUID instruction presence
I found that FLAC__cpu_have_cpuid_x86() was removed in the commit <http://git.xiph.org/?p=flac.git;a=commitdiff;h=fa24613ad94ba8fb8e23bcb9ca80b4548bb617e6> with the message: "Remove `FLAC__cpu_have_cpuid_x86` altogether as it wasn't actually being used but that was difficult to tell because of all the #ifdef nonsense." But FLAC__cpu_have_cpuid_x86() actually WAS used

I just tried to build 1.2 on my Macbook i ran configure with the following arguments (like i have in the past) ./configure --enable-static --disable-asm-optimizations --disable-shared then "make: i get the following error: encode.c: In function 'convert_to_seek_table_template': encode.c:2181: error: 'struct <anonymous>' has no member named 'use_ogg'

I have checked in a few changes worth noting: 1. I split the file decoder into a more general 'seekable stream decoder' which, makes the file decoder just a special case of the seekable stream decoder. this is useful in situations where you are trying to add decoding support to something that has abstracted the file away. the file decoder interface is still identical, it is all backward

[PATCH 1/3] Add ioctl to set per file 'compress' flag
An ioctl is needed to set compress flag (i.e. clear BTRFS_INODE_NOCOMPRESS flag) on per file basis. This patch adds that. Introduces a generic function to be used by subsequent patches. Altivec, automake
finished hooking up the altivec stuff so it works in ProjectBuilder. I ran a test, doing a 'flac -t' on 400MB of files compresses at level 5. the runtime dropped from from 180 sec to 105 sec! once I get the latest autotools on my ibook I'll try and get asm compilation to work that way. Rails 2.2.2 and globalize - undefined method `render_file' for class `ActionView::Base' (NameError)
Looks like globalize (1.2) is not compatible with rails 2.2.2. I am getting: '' => Booting Mongrel (use ''script/server webrick'' to force WEBrick) => Rails 2.2.2 application starting on http://0.0.0.0:3003 => Call with -d to detach => Ctrl-C to shutdown server ** Starting Mongrel listening at 0.0.0.0:3003 ** Starting Rails with development environment...

Bug fix and compatibility patches for 1.3.0pre4
Hi all, I tried 1.3.0pre4 with ICL on Windows and found some issues. Not sure if this is the right place to submit patches, but someone suggested this on the apparently dead SourceForge patch tracker. The first two are quite straight forward: - The ICL patch fixes a typo in bitmath.h and adds FLAC__bitwriter_write_zeroes to the external declarations in bitwriter.c. - The Ogg patch replaces
