Shorewall Release Model
The current Shorewall release model has the following characteristics: a) The last two major releases are supported. b) Only the latest major release is actively developed. c) Bug fixes are available for the prior major release but only against the last minor release. d) The last major release is advertised as the "Current Release". I''m thinking of switching to a model that

creating a new vecotr in a for loop
I have consulted the intro and nabble but have not found an answer to what should be a simple question, here goes: I am doing a crosscheck of a data frame and pulling out a single value based on an inputted value ie based on x i will select y, or if x =2 then my code returns 7. x y 1 4 2 7 3 10 4 2 My code currently iterates through for as many times as the length of the x

Problem with fts found against Dovecot hg; examples + trace attached
I've been wanting to try out Squat for full-text indexing for a while now, so I finally gave it a whirl. I did a fresh pull from hg. I have it enabled, but it's taking *forever* to do a query. (Using alpine, I issued a Select command for all messages with some word anywhere, which presumably caused the Squat indexer to run.) I think Dovecot is infinite looping. I thought something

Log transformed values and contrasts in LME
Dear All This is probably a very basic question for this list but I just wanted to make sure that I am doing things right: I have an LME model with 4 categorical variables and 2 continuous variables (analysis of covariance model). I had to use a log transformation on the data to achieve normality (log(x)-.1) and then I used contrast treatment to compare differences between a baseline level

I would think I could do this but for some reason I am stymied. I have a PRI from RCN connected to a cisco 3640 (in my day "cisco" is all lower case :-)). My config looks something like this on the cisco... --------------------------------------------------------- voice-card 3 dsp services dspfarm ! ip cef ! isdn switch-type primary-5ess ! controller T1 3/0 framing esf linecode

Help - Poor Voice Quality
I'm struggling to get my VOIP installation to be acceptable. I'm looking for advice on what else I can look for. My system: o Teliax VOIP service, voip-ny1 proxy o RCN Cable Internet Service (3Mbps download, 500kbps upload, 6ms average jitter) o 3.2 GHZ P4 Server (runs asterisk, firewall, other stuff) o server lightly loaded o Linux kernel 2.6.19.2 o Shorewall Firewall software with

Selenium/Watir usage along side Webrat in story testing
This is related to Selenium/Watir usage along side webrat in story testing. MHS_Testing and Rspec-ui provide some great help for testing through frameworks like Selenium/Watir. But there is something missing, Webrat has changed the landscape somewhat with Acceptance Tests/Story Driven development. Now I have a choice: 1. Tests and rails process run as one test process (Webrat) 2. Use

FW: [PATCH] workqueue: cancel_delayed_work() should return %NULL if work item is idle
FYI, it is likely that ocfs2 will not work on 3.7-rcN until the following one-line patch is merged, as the code in ramster that provoked it is directly leveraged from ocfs2 o2net. > From: Tejun Heo [mailto:tj at kernel.org] > Sent: Thursday, October 18, 2012 5:39 PM > To: Dan Magenheimer > Cc: linux-kernel at vger.kernel.org; Konrad Wilk > Subject: [PATCH] workqueue:

[Bug 101220] xorg-server-1.19.3 crashes when trying to enable HDMI output
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101220 --- Comment #5 from Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- I wonder if this is due to the fact that it's running in NoAccel mode. (Haven't actually looked at any of the code though.) Pacho, can you test 4.12-rcN with the nvidia-supplied firmware installed (part of linux-firmware) which will allow you to have acceleration on

trouble connecting to Panduit VGA adapter
Are you running a v4.12-based kernel? If so, update to v4.13-rcN or integrate https://github.com/skeggsb/linux/commit/13a86519202c5d119d83640d6f781f3181205d2c into your kernel build. Does v4.13 fix your issues? v4.10 also included significant rework related to DP-MST, and I wouldn't be surprised if it fixed a few DP issues along the way. (Also, please don't drop the list from your replies.) On Mon, Sep 4, 2017 at 9:30 AM, Marko Schuetz-Schmuck <MarkoSchuetz at web.de> wrote: > I'm running 4.9.43-1-MANJARO > > Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at

problem building partitionable RAID-1 on Centos-6
Trying to install Centos6 on my system (it's been running C5 for years). I've got a pair of drives, so I'm trying to use RAID-1. Previously I used a procedure where each partition was part of a separate RAID device, but this time I'm trying the HOWTO from the Centos WIKI on making a partitionable RAID pair. I've been having a lot of problems, but have also been working thru

VDPAU issues in 17.2 and master, and a test request
Hi guys, I just wanted to record some of my observations with nouveau; I haven't had time to debug what happened. All testing done with mplayer -vo vdpau. First off, it seems like master + DRI3 works, up to a point, but then crashes in nouveau pushbuf logic with a missing kref (which means some unknown buffer is being used ... somewhere). Now, in 17.2-rcN (sorry, I forget which one, but

tinc behind sslh
Hello Guus. I've reading mailing list archives threads about it at http://www.tinc-vpn.org/pipermail/tinc/2011-July/thread.html#2757 and http://rutschle.net/pipermail/sslh/2011-July/thread.html and now trying to hide tinc server behind sslh multiplexer but without luck. First of all directly it works fine. Initiator (instance of tincd with ConnectTo statement) successfully establishes
