Er, which results are available at https://mf4.xiph.org/jenkins/job/flac/
Currently the build is failing on 'make

model.matrix.default() silently ignores bad contrasts.arg
Dear Ben,
Perhaps I'm missing the point, but contrasts.arg is documented to be a list. From ?model.matrix: "contrasts.arg: A list, whose entries are values (numeric matrices or character strings naming functions) to be used as replacement values for the contrasts replacement function and whose names are the names of columns of data containing factors."
This isn't entirely

Ralph,
Can you please check out whats happening here? See:
https://mf4.xiph.org/jenkins/job/flac/31/console
I've run the tests here without a problem.
Cheers,

opusenc -- no track number metadata?
The docs for opusenc at
https://mf4.xiph.org/jenkins/view/opus/job/opus-tools/ws/man/opusenc.html
don't mention any way to specify the track number metadata.
Is there an undocumented way to do this, or this feature not available?
Or is the "track number" meant to be a "comment" ?
More people at Magnatune are downloading our opus files, so this came up...

Right now it's just running on Linux x86_64.
Note that you can look at the build output to see what's failing. E.g.
https://mf4.xiph.org/jenkins/job/flac/11/console
It's still stuck on the out-of-tree issues with 'make

I would recommend the opusfile library, which implements seeking
specifically for Opus streams.

make distcheck
Ralf,
It looks like fixing 'make distcheck' is going to be a huge pain in the
neck. Is it not possible to make Jenkins do 'make check' instead of
'make distcheck'?

"make distcheck" failure
Hi Rich,
I ran these commands as non-root:
./autogen.sh && make && make distcheck
It got most of the way through, but failed in the VPATH part
while rebuilding from a ./_build subdir, like this:
make[4]: Entering directory `/h/j/w/co/hivex/hivex-1.3.6/_build/ocaml'
mkdir -p /usr/lib64/ocaml

[PATCH virt-v2v] make most of "make distcheck" pass
Hi Matt,
You need to "git add" Makefile.PL.in to the repo.
Once you do that, and apply the following patch,
most of "make distcheck" will work.
The only remaining failure seems to be that these
files are not removed by "make uninstall":
ERROR: files left after uninstall:
./lib64/perl5/5.10.0/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/perllocal.pod

[virt-v2v] "make distcheck" now passes
There were a few "infelicities" that kept the "make distcheck"
test from passing. These three patches combine to fix all of them,
punting on only one by disabling the install-data-hook rule.

[PATCH 3/3] libdrm: Move all noninstalled headers to noinst_HEADERS.
Cleanup make system so that all noninstalled headers are put
to noinst_HEADERS. This quarentees that header will be present
in tar ball but not installed with make install.

model.matrix.default() silently ignores bad contrasts.arg
An lme4 user pointed out <https://github.com/lme4/lme4/issues/491> that
passing contrasts as a string or symbol to [g]lmer (which would work if
we were using `contrasts<-` to set contrasts on a factor variable) is
*silently ignored*. This goes back to model.matrix(), and seems bad
(this is a very easy mistake to make, because of the multitude of ways
to specify contrasts for factors in R

Meet the new maintainer
Hi all,
Some time ago, I foolishly agreed to become the maintainer of FLAC,
the Free Lossless Audio Codec. The original author and maintainer
Josh Coalson has been MIA since early 2009.
The code has been moved to the Xiph.org git repo and I'll be trying
to spend an hour a day on it until I get a backlog of patches reviewed,
tweaked and applied. The main problem is that the FLAC test suite
