Memory leak using libflac++
Hi all, I'm the author of flactag, a utility for tagging whole-album FLAC files with embedded CUE sheets using data from the MusicBrainz servers. I've recently run it through valgrind, and I'm seeing memory leaks like the following: 12 bytes in 1 blocks are definitely lost in loss record 1 of 5 at 0x402377E: operator new(unsigned) (vg_replace_malloc.c:224) by 0x41448A8:

Slight memory leak or bad documentation
Hi, I was just messing around with a metadata modifier in flac (using the C++ api) and found something strange. When iterating over a chain and calling FLAC::Metadata::Iterator::get_block(), it seems a newly constructed ProtoType* is returned (the source says "return local::construct(::FLAC__metadata_simple_iterator_get_block(iterator_));"), if one does not delete this pointer, the

[PATCH 2/4] direct-io: add a hook for the fs to provide its own submit_bio function V3
V1->V2: -Changed dio_end_io to EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL -Removed the own_submit blockdev dio helper -Removed the boundary change V2->V3 -Made it so we keep track of what the current logical offset in the file we have a BIO setup for so we can pass it into the submit_io hook. Because BTRFS can do RAID and such, we need our own submit hook so we can setup the bio''s in the correct fashion,

[PATCH] Fix building with MSYS and MinGW(-w64); Improve Makefile.lite build system

two problems with flac and ices 0.4 build
i'm trying to build ices0.4 and vorbis-tools 1.0.1 with flac 1.1.1. Neither seems happy, hence the crossposting (sorry). ICES0.4 --- ices refuses to see the libFLAC library, even if i specify --with-flac=/usr/local/lib (or even just --with-flac=/usr/local/, as the configure script seems to look in the lib and include subdirectories of the specified path?). i get a configure error:

Typo in aclocal.m4
Hi Josh (and everyone else on the list), Here's a quick fix for libFLAC.m4 and libFLAC++.m4 for a problem that crops up if you use the macros in an environment where LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set. The macros save LD_LIBRARY_PATH as ac_save_LDPATH, but restore it from ac_save_LD_LIBRARY_PATH. This patch changes ac_save_LDPATH to ac_save_LD_LIBRARY_PATH. Without this, LD_LIBRARY_PATH effectively gets

[PATCH 1/2] Fix pkg-config files to avoid overlinking
Libraries that are used internally by libFLAC(++) but are not part of their API should be listed in pkg-config "private" clauses. Otherwise executables that are linked dynamically against libFLAC(++) will have unneeded direct dependencies (overlinking). Based on a patch by Brad Smith from https://sourceforge.net/p/flac/bugs/397/ that I updated to only include ogg if libFLAC is

Is CVS safe for daily use? Why can't I 'make install' to my home?
Hello, I need flac bug, which is already in cvs (1328191) fixed, so I was wondering first is cvs safe for everyday use? I can understand a crash, but corrupt files aren't common right? Also, when trying to 'make install' to prefix=/home/sbh I get: /bin/sh ../../libtool --mode=install /usr/bin/install -c 'libFLAC++.la' '/home/sbh//lib/libFLAC++.la' libtool: install:

Compiling problem flac 1.0.4 Mandrake 9.0 gcc 3.2
I think the basic problem is that configure can't find any C++ compiler on your system, which is required to build some of the libraries. It's kind of hard to imagine that Mandrake would supply gcc but not g++; maybe something else is wrong. Anyway, if you absolutely do not want any of the C++ stuff, you can just remove the following directories from SUBDIRS in src/Makefile libFLAC++
