Memory leaks due to Metadata object vorbis comment API ???
Hi List, I recently was assigned a task to port FLAC Encoder to our embedded platform. Thanks to OO-like design of the libFLAC and throught documentation, that porting went like a charm. I had some problems with chmod/chown like routines while porting but I was able to safely remove that piece of code without any trouble. I have observed that the my application FLAC Encoder failes in

I do the following to init flac: encoder = FLAC__stream_encoder_new(); e = FLAC__stream_encoder_set_do_mid_side_stereo (encoder, numChannels == 2); e = FLAC__stream_encoder_set_loose_mid_side_stereo (encoder, numChannels == 2); e = FLAC__stream_encoder_set_channels (encoder, numChannels); e = FLAC__stream_encoder_set_bits_per_sample (encoder, jmin (24,

Encoding and Compression --- where is the nitpick?
Greetings, I'm playing aroung with the library and try to encode some PCM samples out of a WAVE file. I recognized that my own encoding is bigger than the encoding with the command line tool and I can't figure out why it is so. I tried some API functions to get a better result but I missed. minimal test code: http://stinfwww.informatik.uni-leipzig.de/~mai02cal/test.c example wav:

FLAC::Encoder::Stream == "FLAC__STREAM_ENCODER_VERIFY_MISMATCH_IN_AUDIO_DATA"
I'm using flac-1.2.1 and visual studio 2010 on windows xp sp3 and I want to compress raw CDDA with the stream encoder to a file. But I just can't get the flac encoder to work, the encoder always returns an error enc.get_state() == "FLAC__STREAM_ENCODER_VERIFY_MISMATCH_IN_AUDIO_DATA" get_verify_decoder_state() == "FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_READ_FRAME" this is the code I

About Decode Streaming
I'll top-post this one because it wasn't sent to the mailinglist but to me. Please reply to list next time. I assume you mean the main.c files in the encode and decode directory under examples. I can't really determine the root cause of your problem with this information, but I think you're trying to feed the decoder blocks that are incomplete. The LOST SYNC error is usually

Memory leak
During my current dealings with the FLAC library I think I discovered a memory leak. After an encoder stream has finish()'ed, I believe you are supposed to use it again by calling init(). However, when verification is enabled, the init() routine will create a new stream decoder (to verify the data) without deleting (or reusing) the existing one. A small program demonstrating this is pasted

Hi again, I can not solve problem. I want to mention my source code, so you may answer easily. returning dynamic variable names from function
Within a function I'm assigning dynamic variable names and values to them using the "assign" function. I want to pass back the results but am uncertain how to do this. Basically, my function reads a number of data files and uses the filename of each file as the variable name for a list-to-become-dataframe. I want then to pass all these lists back, but again, the names of the

About Decode Streaming
Sorry, I am newbie. Sample codes are from https://github.com/oneman/libflac/tree/master/examples/cpp. I used FLAC__stream_decoder_process_single function but it still gives exception. Maybe I could not control read callback, you're right. I will check it and write result in this thread. Thanks for help. 2013/7/1 Martijn van Beurden <mvanb1 at gmail.com> > I'll top-post this

Martijn, I don't use any metadata when encoding and decoding. When I call *FLAC__StreamDecoderStateString[FLAC__stream_decoder_get_state(m_decoder)] * * * it returns FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_SEARCH_FOR_METADATA enum value. Is it an error ? 2013/7/2 Burak Or?un ?zkablan <borcunozkablan at gmail.com> > Hi again, > > I can not solve problem. I want to mention my source code, so

Help upgrading to 1.1.3 (MD5 sum issues, album art corrupts files)
Hello all, I recently upgraded the libFLAC used in my application Max (http:// sbooth.org/Max/) to 1.1.3 and added preliminary support for album art. During the upgrade I evidently made some coding mistakes with interesting results. I've combed everything over and can't quite see the problems. I've become somewhat frustrated because my code didn't really change

Setting compression level
Hi. I'm have a little problem with setting compression level since 1.1.3 releases. I'm using : FE = FLAC__stream_encoder_new(); FLAC__stream_encoder_set_channels( FE, channels); FLAC__stream_encoder_set_bits_per_sample( FE, bitsample); FLAC__stream_encoder_set_sample_rate( FE, samplerate); unsigned int level; if (formatdatalen>0) level = *(char*)(formatdata); else level = 7; if

About Decode Streaming
Hi, I am developing an audio network system and using boost, OpenAL and FLAC library in C/C++. I can stream raw audio data over network but I want to encode audio before streaming in current PC and decode after streaming in other PC because of bandwidth limit. I run your sample codes, encode.c and decode.c, about file encode / decode. Then, I run streaming encode / decode with two different

Dear All, Could you please recommend how I can do this? I have several text files in one folder. Let's name them A0801.RSK, A0802.RSK, .... I would like R to 1) Know all file names in this folder 2) Update value in one column of these files 3) Write results in another text file with _xval in the file names Below is R code for read, update, and write one file

Encoder example for 24-bit files
Hi, In the last days I've been taking as reference the example found in examples/c/encode/file/main.c. With it I've been able to encode a 2ch, 16 bps, 44100 sample rate input WAV file to a FLAC file. Now I've been trying to modify this example to encode a 2ch, 24 bps, 96000 sample rate WAV file. I have to say I'm a bit lost on how I should read the input file in this case, and
