Spam vs. Viruses
I have purchased a license for Vexira MailArmor (an antivirus product) and the good news is that it is installed and working at shorewall.net. The bad news is that I have yet to get Vexira running together with SpamAssassin :-( As things currently stand, list posts will be protected from viruses but may contain Spam. I''ll continue to work to correct this situation. -Tom -- Tom Eastep

Are these events normal?
We have dropped dovecot in place of UW-IMAP for about 40000 users and have solved our immediate problem: disk I/O overload, mainly from people doing POP3 and "leave mail on server". Thank you! Now i got loads of dovecot error messages in the logs and don't know if there is any significance. Here are a few examples: The most common event is: 2007-12-06 16:00:17.837654500 dovecot:

Spam Filtering of Shorewall List Posts
I have now configured Postfix to filter all email sent to shorewall.net with SpamAssassin. I have also configured GNU Mailman so that any list email that appears to be Spam will be held for my approval. Hopefully, this will prevent Spam from becoming a problem on our lists. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Shorewall - iptables made easy AIM: tmeastep \ http://www.shorewall.net ICQ: #60745924 \

More about Spam Filtering
It appears that MailMan doesn''t propagate changes to the default spam filtration settings to existing mailing lists -- these only apply to new lists :-( Since I tested using a newly-created throw-away test list, spam filtering worked in my test but not on the Shorewall lists. I believe that I''ve correctly modified the lists to correctly divert Spam -- we''ll see.

Opus implementation on Nordic chip
Hi I’m currently trying to implement the Opus codec on a nRF 52 DK (from Nordic). One main goal of my project is a low power application that can record and send audio data (16+ kHz) over BLE. Therefore, the Opus audio codec would be suitable to encode audio data, send it over BLE and decode it on another chip. Unfortunately, I have some trouble implementing it. There are different parts to the

Looks about right. That said, you don't need 'client min protocol' on the DC. You need the client max protocol on the domain member and server min protocol on the DC to overlap. Shorewall 1.3.9
Shorewall 1.3.9 is available. In this release: 1. DNS Names are now allowed in Shorewall config files (I still recommend against using them however). 2. The connection SOURCE may now be qualified by both interface and IP address in a Shorewall rule. 3. Shorewall startup is now disabled after initial installation until the file /etc/shorewall/startup_disabled is removed. 4. The

Changing Quota downward for special Mailboxes? (2.1.6)
It seems there is no way to correct te quota limit downward for some mailboxes, like: quota_rule9 = UCE-TMP:storage=-10%% The idea is to not eat up the users storage with spam, so that spam stays in the queue (for some time) while real mail gets delivered. There *is* a line } else if (*value != '-' && relative_rule) { in quota.c, but nothing else handles it,
