Hi, Is the recent version 0.1.5 (08.05.2006) of XiphQT compatible with iTunes 5.0.1 and Mac OSX 10.4? Not sure if this is well known, but there is a relatively easy way to rip/encode your CDs with iTunes+oggenc: - Install the QuickTime components (http://qtcomponents.sf.net) - Rip CDs to AIFF format files - Run a script that encodes each aiff file with oggenc. Hi guys. I downloaded the xiph-qt-win32-0.1.5.zip file from your website. I unzipped and placed the .qtx file in C:\Program Files\Quicktime\QTCompenents. It doesn't install anything. The lite version doesn't support it. iTunes can play local .ogg files but not streams if you download the ogg components from qtcomponents.sf.net. What kind of cpu requirements can we expect for decoding and playing a flac encoded file. I'm not getting very good results with my pentium 166/50M ram that I use to decode/play mp3s on my stereo. It's almost enough, but I get small glitches at about 10 second intervals. Any suggestions to help speed it up? Keep up the good work, and thanks! --Dustin
