Apols but would someone please forward some info on this.
I want to connect to samba4 and all I can seem to find are results of the now non existent configuration script.
I think you might start to find an increase on uptake and the removal might of been premature?
Make me happy anyway as confused at the moment.

Using speex pre processor
Hello Tristan,
Thank you. But I am using libspeex library. Does the speexdsp library be
included in it? Or it needs to be installed separate.
Appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Ankhit

SWIGging ConfigBase
Hi all
I''m trying to write an .i file for ConfigBase. If I can figure out a few
general SWIG things then I think most of it will work. Apols for the
noob swig questions.
The C++ class has lots of overloaded methods called Read, which return
different kinds of values. In wxruby-not-swig these are implemented as
read, read_bool, read_int and so on. read() means read_string(). In ruby

[PATCH speexdsp] Don't rely on HAVE_STDINT_H et al. being defined
From: Tanu Kaskinen <tanu.kaskinen at linux.intel.com>
Not everyone who includes speexdsp_config_types.h will have a test
which defines those, and if we've chosen to use the stdint types at
configure time then we know exactly which header(s) are available, so
just choose the best one then and generate the header to use it.
This patch, including the above text, is copied from a commit

Domain Functional Level & Schema Replication
Apols guys about the Thread question. I saw a discussion between Roland and Steve and was just trying to get more info.
So apols about hijacking an old thread as it was a bad attempt to nudge a conversion.
Firstly could anybody explain why the last line out of samba-tool domain level show.
Is this just a bad message or what is triggering "Lowest function level of a DC: (Windows) 2008

large ext3 filesystem consistantly locking itself read-only
We have several large ext3 file system partitions. One of them sets
itself to read-only after getting journel problems. I understand that's
a good thing, but obviously I need to correct the problem so that it
will stop locking itself. Here are some details;
OS is Redhat EL4 x86_64 running on a SunFire v40z, kernel is
2.6.9-42.0.2.ELsmp. The disk storage in question is external, via

Running Wine on removable media
Apols if there is already an answer to this on the forum but couldn't find it with Search...
I'm new to Linux and to Wine. I have just made the conversion from Windows and run Ubuntu/Hardy - my Windows box has a h/w failure. There are some facilities I need urgently from Windows(XP) that I haven't yet sussed in Linux, notably the ability to edit and store multipage Tiffs and mdi docs

PHP ldap_start_tls
I have samba4 4.1.9 on ubuntu 14.04 and I am trying to connect with phpldapadmin.
Problem seems to be with the start tls and that PHP ldap_start_tls doesn't like self signed certificates that are not in the local ca.
The samba certs are in /var/lib/samba/private/tls.
Does php ldap_start_tls use /etc/ldap/ldap.conf ?

speexdsp versioning
Hello,
alsa-plugins currently includes speex/speex_types.h, but that doesn't
work with speexdsp versions >= 1.2rc2, since speex_types.h has been
replaced with speexdsp_types.h. I made a patch for alsa-plugins, so that
it includes speexdsp_types.h instead. I also bumped the speexdsp version
check from "1.2" to "1.2rc2" in configure.ac, since speexdsp_types.h
didn't

A Suggestion for Strikethrough Syntax
All,
Hopefully, I'm not covering old territory, and a search of the list
archives seems to indicate that I'm not. If I am, then I extend my
apologies in advance.
I use strikethrough a lot so I modify my Movable Type Markdown module
as shown below, right about line 1040 or so. I assume other Markdown
implementations can use this change as well:

SPEEX and OPUS questions and minor issues
I recently stumbled upon <speex/speex_resampler.h> and made a chain of
discoveries:
- "http://speex.org/downloads" some links are broken ("rarewares" and git)
- there is some (minor) development (whitespace and more) of the "dead" Speex
codec ... will there be a release? (I don't really need such myself)
- there is some (more useful?) development of the

Cannot compile speexdsp 1.2rc3 on ARM64
I've filed a bug for aarch64
https://github.com/xiph/speexdsp/issues/7
and provided the port in a fork with a pull request. We need someone to
review/merge in the pull request?
It provides the source code, but my testing was under Android builds, so
there would be some configure changes needed to build it stand alone.

I am loath to replace things on my primary workstation as I have far
too much to do as it is without dealing with self-inflicted injuries.
However, I do use Jitsi as a softphone and the latest version has a
dependency on a package in EPEL which replaces something from the base
distro.
Can someone inform me
