libspeex.dll
hello, we start to develop an open source project. This project is a VoIp application with the same features like "Teamspeak" (http://www.goteamspeak.com). Our test application run in peer to peer mode under windows 2000 and above. At the moment we are using the gsm codec (13 kbps bandwidth). Later there will be a port for *unix systems. As aforementioned the project will be released

Merging two data frames with 3 common variables makes duplicated rows
I am new to R (ex SAS user) , and I cannot merge two data frames without getting duplicated rows in the results. How to avoid this happening without using the unique() function? 1. First data frame is called "tmv" with 6 variables and 239 rows: > tmv[1:10,] temps nom prenom sexe dist style 1 01:59:36 Cyr Steve H 45 free 2 02:09:55 Gosselin

Just getting noise
I'm completely new to speex and I'm having issues adding it to my application. I can pass raw PCM and that works fine so I know my transmission code is fine however when I try to encode/decode using speex I get noise almost like a whining/buzzing sound. I'm sure it's and issue in my code but I'm not sure where to start looking other then my gut tells me I'm not sizing or

GCC/ELF Visibility patch
Hi, I've attached a patch against SVN r14645 which adds GCC visibility information to all symbols exported from libspeex.so and libspeexdsp.so. It includes a configure.ac change to test that both the compiler flags and __attribute__((visibility)) works, and if so will #define EXPORT __attribute__((visibility("default"))) and if not #define EXPORT I've attached a diff output

[SPAM] [BombData][alltestmode] Re: Speex Echo Cancellation
As for me - speex_echo_cancellation is a better choise. Try using it in capture thread instead of those speex_echo_capture and speex_echo_playback functions. And please, describe your problem in details. Cause the fact that you "didn get echo cancellation" doesn't mean you are doing smth wrong. Regards, Anton A. Just getting noise
Alright noted, I changed me code so that the state is created in the constructor and destroyed in the destructor of the object. However I'm still getting the same issue although I'm sure that would have bit me sooner or later. The new code is as follows. virtual Enigma::u8* Encode(Enigma::u8* inputBuffer,size_t inputSize, size_t& outputSize) { short *in=(short*)inputBuffer;

bug found in CELT 0.6.1, fix proposed.
Hi all I have spent the last three days evaluating CELT on our supported platforms. I found a bug in quant_bands.c, that due to processor/compilation differences did not cause an issue on x86 platforms, but is a problem on the MIPS processor embedded devices. When decoding on the MIPS devices, there was a lot of noise added during the decoding, the noise is mainly in the 15 khz to 21 khz range.

speex_nb_mode declaration problem
Hello all, I am using the speex APIs in a gnuradio block. I used the similar code as in the sampleenc.c/sampledec.c which works perfectly fine. My compilation does not give any error, but when I run the python test, it complains that speex_nb_mode is undefined. I tried to declare it explicitly then it as const SpeexMode *mode = NULL , then i get an error that i cannot initialize the const

Newbie - Encoding PCM
Hi all, i've to encode voice from a voicemodem. I choose speex 1.0.5 for its quality in voice encoding. I've tried to implement an encoder but unsuccesfully. Here's my code: /* ============ SPEEX stream ENCODER ============================================ */ int SPEEX_EncodePCM(struct _IDA_ClientSocket *IDA,char *buffer,unsigned char *PCM,int num_samples) { /* buffer point to the

Just getting noise
I'm only doing one frame using speex_encode_int greatly simplifies my code I'm not sure why the sample I was working off of was converting the shorts to floats then calling the other encode/decode methods. Based off of your suggestions I tried the following but I get the same result. virtual Enigma::u8* Encode(Enigma::u8* inputBuffer,size_t inputSize, size_t& outputSize) {

[PATCH] Make SSE Run Time option. Add Win32 SSE code
All, Attached is a patch that does two things. First it makes the use of the current SSE code a run time option through the use of speex_decoder_ctl() and speex_encoder_ctl It does this twofold. First there is a modification to the configure.in script which introduces a check based upon platform. It will compile in the sse assembly if you are on an i?86 based platform by making a

Hi, In case it is of any help, to compile a static library for the iPhone, I had to add the following 2 lines in plc.c file : #include "arch.h" #include "stack_alloc.h" otherwise "celt_word16..." type are not defined and "VARDECL...." also not. Best Regards St?phane Letz

GLOBAL_STACK_SIZE
I am having trouble understanding the stack allocation scheme when using a C55xx device. From what I can tell, the GLOBAL_STACK_SIZE is set in arch.h to 100,000 bytes (when using FIXED_POINT), which is then used in the ALLOC_STACK macro found in stack_alloc.h. This macro seems to say, if global_stack==0, then call celt_alloc_scratch, found in os_support.h, which in turn attempts to allocate (using

Stack Overflow
Guys, Program stack is getting overflowed when I create and destroy encoder instance continuously for around 30 times. How can I ensure stack is completely freed when I destroy the encoder instance? I tried with VAR_ARRAYS. But Its giving me errors while I try to compile. I suppose VAR_ARRAYS allocates local variables as arrays so that they could go on to stack and finally when we leave the
