[Fwd: Re: Shorewall 1.4.6: common chain rules are applied before policyrules?]
Thank you for your support.
The next question: Is there a kind of common chain applied before
ACCEPT policy? I want to DROP or REJECT Netbios traffic on most
interfaces but do not want to repeat those rules in the rules file.
Thanks,
Boi

weird fail with conversion to bridges?
I''m converting my network from a "one interface per segment" to a
"single connection with vlans", well, some hardware I have requires
using different vlan IDs. suffice it to say I need bridges to connect a
few different vlans that should all be one but can''t be because of
firmware constraints. so my first step is to get shorewall to know
about bridges.

php with OCI support
Hi,
I'm trying to get OCI support in php on RHEL 4.
So i installed the oracle-client and php.src.rpm
and then typed:
rpmbuild -bb --with oci /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/php.spec
It rebuild fine, but no oci support, on the spec file
of the PHP package it's there the OCI support, it's not
--with oci that i should use?
Thanks

Tests just deleted my production Database!!! PLEASE
When you run your functional tests, rake wipes the "test" database clean and
recreates it based on what is in the "development" database. Since it
appears you are using the same database for both, that would explain why you
lost your data. In addition, if you omit the data needed to access the
development database you will get an error like you described, because

InstantRails with Ruby One-Click Installer?
Hi. I would like to hear how/what other users are installing for
development and reference support. I currently have both InstantRails
and the Ruby One-click Installer installed. I don''t like telling
co-workers to install both (the OCI has lots of nice documentation
useful to Rails developers). Also, the Ruby OCI helps when needing to
run Ruby scripts outside of the InstantRails

Hi,
The function help.start() assume that the brower is netscape
which is no longer the dominant brower in used. I am using now opera
and other use mozilla or Microsoft IE. I can always type
help.start(browser="opera"), but it is not convenience: I would like

Problem setting up Shorewall with 2 public IP''s
Greetings.
I run an Amateur Radio system (ampr.org) that requires 2 public ip''s on a RH 9.0 box. The primary one is 209.52.173.97 and is used for connections to the normal linux system and the usual apps such as web, ssh, smtp, etc. The secondary address is 209.52.173.98 and is routed via a pseudoslip link to the systems ampr address of 44.135.163.21.
