running speex on c5505 usb sticki
Vijay,
I used Code Composer Studio 3.x to directly build everything. There could certainly be issues with the ./configure, make, make install process. There are .pjt files supplied to build in the CCS simulator, so I suggest that you try that. The c55x option is just a compile switch, which deals with the fact that this platform has a 16-bit "byte", among other things.

Jim

running speex on c5505 usb sticki
Oh my.
The c:/Program Files/Speex/libspeex.lib file is a Windows/x86 library
file. The code within this files is not C55x binary but x86 binary.
Further, the format of a Windows/x86 library file is different from that
produced by the C55x code generation tools' archive utility, and that is
what the linker is complaining about.
As far as I know, there is no pre-developed C55x speex library,

running speex on c5505 usb sticki
Hi,
I am currently working on C5505 USB stick
http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmdx5505ezdsp.html to sample
input voice and encode it. For compiling and buring usual programs, I am
using CCStudio 4.0.
For encoding voice samples, I am using Speex codec binary

Hi Randy,
Thanks for reply. I have one question though.
While compiling the speex (downloaded from
http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/speex/speex-1.2rc1.tar.gz), I gave
./configure
-enable-ti-c55x option and then built the library through make and make
install using cygwin. In this case, I get this error "error: member "bits.o"

Porting CELt to the C5505
Hi,
I am an applications engineer for Texas Instruments in the UK. I am trying to port the CELT codec to the C5505, this has HW accelerated FFT engine (http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/tms320vc5505.html).
I am having problems with the stack allocation. Do you have any reference code that compiles for the C55x under CCS (code composer studio)?

Small inexpensive SBC for Speex? How about the TIC5505
Hi David,
If cost is an issue then, yes you can do all that (the speex at least) with
the eZDSP USB stick. Only limitation is a slow emulator that is integrated
with USB, and so there is no JTAG output to use with other emulators. If you
don't have an emulator anyway then this is an advantage.
Cheers, M

Porting CELt to the C5505
Tony,
How is this going? Have you been able to get CELT to run on a TI55xx? I am
very interested in the % utilization of the hardware and whether multiple
instance of CELT on the same DSP are feasible. I look forward to your
findings.

Analyze multiple data set simultaneoulsy
Hi, everyone:
I have multiple dataset (say 100) in different subdirectory. They have same
name and exactly same format. I want to get summary for some columns for
each of these dataset (such as mean, SD etc), and list the summary in one
output file. It is for sure not effective if I do this one by one. Can
anyone advise me how to do it ‘on the fly’ using R?
More specifically, I wish to

PostgreSQL driver supporting [round-robin] load balancing and redundancy [LONG]
One of the things my employer uses dovecot for is as mail download
server for an 'e-mail purification service' (AV/ anti-spam) for
smartphones. The service itself presently runs on a rented server
somewhere in the UK and the corresponding 'web service' front-end and
user account/ mail account database resides on a server in
Germany. The UK dovecot server uses the PostgreSQL server

basehaz() in package survival and warnings with coxph
I've never seen this, and have no idea how to reproduce it.
For resloution you are going to have to give me a working example of the

Also, per the posting guide, what is your sessionInfo()?

Error when creating volume
Hello,
I've removed a volume and I can't re-create it :
gluster volume create gluster-export gluster-6:/export gluster-5:/export
gluster-4:/export gluster-3:/export
/export or a prefix of it is already part of a volume
I've formatted the partition and reinstalled the 4 gluster servers and
the error still appears.
Any idea ?
Thanks.

Asterisk 11 + repro WebRTC tested
I've just done a test with a WebRTC client connecting to the repro proxy
with the SIP messages relayed over TCP to Asterisk
Asterisk successfully answers the call using SAVPF, SRTP and ICE.
The client is greeted by the demo
This was tested in the Asterisk 11 environment described in my earlier
email about SRTP build issues on the asterisk-users list.
This is quite useful because it proves

What audio apps have been tested with Jack??
Hi,
I know that jack support in Wine is very new. I am not able to get
any sound from it in my setup. In my setup Jack is tested and working
with a number of native Linux apps as both a user and as root, so I
presume that the problem is either the Windows apps I've tried, or the
Wine implementation of Jack support.
What Windows apps have been tested in Wine (not WineX) using Jack?

Is Intel Omni-Path tested/supported?
Hi,
I am new to GlusterFS. I have 2 computers with Intel Omni-Path hardware/software installed. RDMA is running ok on those according to "ibv_devices" output. GlusterFS "server" installed and set up ok on those. Peer probes on TCP-over-OPA worked ok. I created a replicated volume with transport=tcp, then tested them by mounting the volume on one of servers. Things worked
