Hi, We have some DSP architectures (kalimba) which have 24-bits as their "minimum addressable unit". So this means that the sizeof a char (and an int and a short for that matter) is 24-bits. Issue with apcupsd-ups?
Hello;I just came across NUT, testing FreeNAS/FreeBSD. I?m running at home a APC UPS connected to another computer, running apcupsd. I found out that NUT didn't talk by default to apcupsd, and there was a driver created relatively recently (apcupsd-ups), which filled in that gap. The version I found on my FreeBSD/FreeNAS system seems to imply that there is more to come to that driver (0.04)

[PATCH v2 06/35] crypto: Use kmemdup rather than duplicating its implementation
kmemdup is introduced to duplicate a region of memory in a neat way. Rather than kmalloc/kzalloc + memcpy, which the programmer needs to write the size twice (sometimes lead to mistakes), kmemdup improves readability, leads to smaller code and also reduce the chances of mistakes. Hi, I'm currently working on the TI DaVinci processor, which has an ARM926 processor and a TMS320C64+ DSP in it. I have been using Speex 6kbps (narrowband, quality=2, complexity=1, perceptual_enh=0) on the DSP C64+ side without any issues; the voice sounds very good for such a low bandwidth requirement. How does LLVM generate machine code for different architectures? For example, the machine code for x86 and amd will vary. How does LLVM convert its IR to machine code for different architectures.Can you please explain the approach? Is it just write two different programs for two different architectures and pass a flag to the compiler based on which machine code you want to generate? Thanks a lot
