How many RAM Speex need??
I use Speex on a C5509A DSP, which has 256k bytes of RAM for code and data.
Speex fits very comfortably in less than half of this memory. However, I do
not have room for the echo canceller code in my overall application. In
your case, with the large Flash, the code space should not be a problem.
However, I believe that you will need wait states to run from Flash, so
performance could be an

Replacement brackets for Supermicro UIO SAS cards....
I just wanted to share this useful info as I haven''t seen it anywhere.
My scrounging-genius colleague, Lawrence, found standard PCI-e
replacement brackets for the justifiably popular Supermicro AOC-USAS-L8i
cards. They cost a few bucks each, fit perfectly and allow us to use
these cards extensively without any case-hackery.

fir_mem16,iir_mem16 and filter_mem16 optimisations
Hi!
I have some questions about that functions: fir_mem16, iir_mem16 and filter_mem16.
Filtering is very slow on TI DSP, and i want to optimise it.
Can somebody give me formulas which discribe work of this filters?
Or any suggestions about how to transform code for better performance.
I going to implement this functions in assembler, but it is hard to do without full understanding how functions

connection DB2 and R (R under linux)
Hi evryone,
I would like to access to DB2 on R on a linux machine (R and DB2 are on 2 pc

I have read on the R-archive that RODBC work with DB2, but it is not clear
for me, if it's only for R on a windows machine or if it's work also for R
under linux ?
My data base administrator say that it will not work with linux ?
Is it true ?
Is there another solution ?
Thanks for your help.

speex RAM optimising
Greetings to All!
Now I am trying to run speex on TI DSP...
I need only coder+decoder+AEC.
Bitrate 8000bps.
Building with floating point support.
What can i do, to reduce RAM consumption?
I mean very serious RAM optimisations. Deleting not used structure fields, etc...
May be I can do something with alloc...
Help me to determine that it is possible to throw out.
What is best result(in RAM

Cups, Samba, Windows without login
Hello,
for some new printers in our company we want to set up a samba server with cups. We use w2k and wxp as clients.
Because we want to make some of those printers public for open rooms we have some problems:
We use novell for some rooms and for other rooms an active directory. The Novell-clients use a local user account for login.
Every client should use the printers without insert a

Dial-In/Out Modem Zap Channel Config. Adtran 750
I've been trying to get a Win 2000 RAS server working with my asterisk PBX for quite some time, to no avail. I've googled, I've tried loads of configurations, I've rewired phone lines, and still I am not winning the battle.
Here's my config.

I have 4 Zap channels signalled FXO_KS to the 750

I'd figure that they just move you to an instance that's already running a
newer version of the o/s, giving you time to test for breakage. I really
don't see them charging, except, possibly, for running in parallel during
testing.

Memory leak - how to investigate
My web & name server runs out of memory from time to time, to the point
where it's completely unresponsive to anything. At that point reset is
the only alternative. (Or, as this is a virtual guest, I just say "virsh
destroy").
But why this happens - I would like to know.
The host in question is a KVM guest, and runs CentOS 6.4.
From "top" (situation now):
