Speex 1.1.10 on ARM926EJ-Sid(wb) rev 3 (v5l)
Hi Eduardo, All I can say is that the timings you have are a bit odd. What optimizations options are you using (I suggest -O3)? Also, perhaps you can try --enable-arm4-asm just in case. I've had the encoder running in real-time on a chip that's at least twice slower than yours with the settings you're using. Jean-Marc Le jeudi 15 septembre 2005 ? 16:23 -0400, Eduardo Bezerra a

Speex 1.1.10 on ARM926EJ-Sid(wb) rev 3 (v5l)
Hi, I tried the same options suggested in your post and the problem continues. What do you suggest? 2005/9/15, Jean-Marc Valin <Jean-Marc.Valin@usherbrooke.ca>: > Hi Eduardo, > > All I can say is that the timings you have are a bit odd. Speex 1.1.10 on ARM926EJ-Sid(wb) rev 3 (v5l)
Hi all, I'm trying to use libspeex 1.1.10 on an ARM926EJ-Sid(wb) rev 3 (v5l). I executed the speexenc and speexdec test files and they can encode and decode. But I'm getting 95% of cpu utilization on the codification and 44% on the decodification. I saw in the post: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/speex-dev/2005-June/003485.html that this version of speex works fine on ARM

Samba3/OpenLDAP2.1.x Tools
I'm trying to configure a Samba3/OpenLDAP2.1.x PDC following the very sparse documentation that is out there with little success. My current issue is finding a set of tools that will work successfully with Samba3 and the new samba.schema that works with OpenLDAP2.1.x. I've been trying recently to get the IDEALX tools to work, but without success. Does anyone have any suggestions on

[OT] VOIP
Hello, I changed ISPs a few weeks ago and now I'm on cable. In doing so, I lost the ability to use the DSL as a FAX line. So, I bought an OOMA. Turns out it uses a number of ports, three of which are reserved, 53 TCP/UDP, 110 TCP and 443 TCP. These ports have already been port forwarded from my cable modem/router to my server. I'm thinking this isn't going to work unless I change

Speex support for TI DaVinci processor
Hi, My company just recently bought a TI DaVinci development board and I'm trying to port Speex to run on it. The TI DaVinci chip has an ARM926 processor and a TMS320C64+ DSP in it. I was able to get Speex somewhat working on a TMS320VC5510 about a year ago but I was wondering is there anything special I need to do to get Speex working on the TMS320C64+ DSP in the DaVinci chip. Speex support for TI DaVinci processor
Do you need to encode and/or decode? I did some work optimizing the DM642 speex 1.1.11.1 encoder earlier this year. I was able to reduce the narrow band MIPS from approx 30 to 16 using some of the #pragmas and optimizing the functions (Following the BlackFin example.) The project I was working on has been put on hold so I haven't looked at the more recent changes. If you are tight on

TI Davinci DM Serias
Hi, I am attempting to port the speex library to TI Davinci DM35x Family. My questions are: 1. What is the best ./configure option for it? Is it ARM5e / ARM4 ? when I tried these two the during the compiled a warning "I suppose you can have a [ARM4/ARM5E/Blackfin] that has float instructions?" 2. is there any available demos for the echo cancellation because I can get it

Clicking noise using Speex built for TI C64+ DSP of DaVinci Processor
Hi, I've been trying to get Speex to compile and run on the DSP of TI's new DaVinci System-On-Chip processor, which has both an ARM (ARM926) and a DSP (C64+, based on the C6400). I used the latest code (1.2beta) and followed the example in the speex- 1.2beta1/ti/speex_C64_test trunk to build the Speex library for the DSP. Basically I have a loopback application on the ARM that samples

Speex support for TI DaVinci processor
Jerry, Thanks for the response; basically, I need to get just the narrow band working now (maybe use advanced features such as jitter buffer, echo cancellation, VAD, etc in the future); the DSP will do the encode and decode simultaneously as data are available. My main objective is just do a voice application that runs on the ARM side of the DaVinci with the codec running on the DSP side; the

Re: Clicking noise using Speex built for TI C64+ DSP of DaVinci Processor
Hi Jean-Marc, I have tested Speex in fixed-point mode on my PC without clicking noise. As I mentioned below, I tested Speex in fixed-point mode running natively on the ARM side of the DaVinci without click noise. I only get the clicking noise when running Speex on the DSP side. For the TI C64+ DSP on the DaVinci processor, the TI-specific switches doesn't do much other than defining the
