Hello - I have two files which play back in VLC correctly. They were encoded using this command: ffmpeg -y -i '/tmp/2e905b981d30324f9a0664cbabb3f59a20170406-21128-r0neh9.wav' -acodec libvorbis '/tmp/2e905b981d30324f9a0664cbabb3f59a20170406-21128-r0neh920170406-21128-146yyex.ogg However ov_pcm_total reports a zero length for one of the two files. [Vorbis-dev] Zero length reported.
Okay - so I stepped through the code slowly this morning making notes as I went. And I can see what’s wrong. The last Ogg header of the troublesome file contains -1 as the granule position. The spec says this has a special meaning "A special value of '-1' (in two's complement) indicates that no packets finish on this page." 4F 67 67 53 00 04 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 16 A2

[LLVMdev] Binary output to cout on Windows
The solution (provided in Microsoft's documentation) is to add: #include <cstdio> #include <io.h> #include <fcntl.h> and run: int result = _setmode( _fileno(stdin), _O_BINARY ); if( result == -1 ) { std::cerr<<"Cannot set input mode to binary."<<std::endl; return 1; } result = _setmode( _fileno(stdout), _O_BINARY ); if( result == -1 ) {

problem with Vorbis DLL's
Hi, I was wondering if anyone out there had any success dynamically loading the Vorbis libraries via LoadLibrary on Win32. I'm able to use things properly by linking in the static libraries, but when I try to load them dynamically (which I really need to do), I get an access violation when calling ov_open. The code looks something like this... typedef int

Vorbisgain in ogg123
I'm considering patching my copy of ogg123 to support vorbisgain tags. Is there any interest in folding this sort of patch into the main line ogg123? Has anyone done this already (or to another command line ogg player)? [PATCH] Fix compile with cygwin
The underscores are wrong. The comment is also correct. Also remove the configure.ac option. Otherwise it tries to compile the windows unicode stuff which POSIX(cygwin) does not understand. --- configure.ac | 2 +- include/share/compat.h | 2 +- src/libFLAC/stream_decoder.c | 3 --- src/libFLAC/stream_encoder.c | 3 --- src/share/grabbag/file.c | 8 +------- 5 files

ov_open_callbacks takes so much time to open 210 MB OGG file
Why ov_open_callbacks(fd_, &vf, NULL, 0, OV_CALLBACKS_NOCLOSE) takes so long to open OGG file? The OGG file has just 210 MB. It takes a lot of time open the file. I am working on OGG audio recorder and player. Thanks in advance! With kind regards, Pavel

Hello - I send this to the vorbis-dev list yesterday, but I’m working if it would not have been better targeted at this list. [LLVMdev] Binary output to cout on Windows
Nothing really needs to be done on Unix, because to my knowledge Unix doesn't differentiate between text and binary on stdin/stdout. ~Michael -----Original Message----- From: llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu [mailto:llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu] On Behalf Of Reid Spencer Sent: Tuesday, May 23, 2006 11:25 AM To: LLVM Developers Mailing List Subject: RE: [LLVMdev] Binary output to cout on

FLAC->mpc transcoding
Hi guys. First off, keep up the good work on FLAC: great now, and looks promising in the future :) I wonder if anyone's aware of the issues with FLAC->mpc transcoding: it works under linux but not windows. Sorry if this has been bought up loads before - i couldn't see it here. Here's the message mppenc 1.02 comes up with on trying to encode a .flac : "MPC Encoder 1.02

Cygwin patch
Building flac 1.0.3 under the latest cygwin craps out in src/libFLAC/file_decode.c and src/flac/file.c for _O_BINARY not being defined. It appears that #include <io.h> is not sufficient to pull in this macro; you need to #include <fcntl.h>. BTW, nice test suite! Talk about exhaustive. If anyone is interested in my Cygwin binaries (no Ogg support), I can provide an encap

Getting a GUI to work with Vorbis code
I am trying to create a Graphical User Interface for a Vorbis Player under MS Visual C++ 6.0 I was initially trting to use the code from decoder_example.c but I keep getting linker errors. I have set up my project as told to by James Boer on this mailing list. This is as follows: This document was prepared from an email received from James Boer on the Ogg Vorbis mailing list. speexdec 1.2.3
Dear Jean-Marc and Peter: Thank you both very much for your time and advice. I did not realize that Lame MP3 code has a -r option (without reading its code). I have tried the suggested command lines verbatim with the added -r option, along with other combination of option settings. I could not figure out how to eliminate the distortion in the result, like voice turning either high or low
