IAX Passing Variables
Well, this kinda sux. We have three Asterisk servers. Phones register to a single, primary server. When a phone on one wants to reach a phone on another, we use DUNDi to discover the destination pbx and IAX to transfer the call to the other Asterisk box. This seems to be a fairly common practice amongst Asterisk users, yes? Well, what about setting variables before call placement? Say you want

cpuid() fails on Syslinux 4
Hey, Gert reported me that cpuidtest.c32 reports weird stuff. After looking at it, I found a potential bug when the cpu vendor isn't detected from an exisiting list. That will be easy to fix, that's not the purpose of this mail. When investigating why the vendor was wrong, I found that a very old commit in the 4.0 branch generates unexpected results when calling cpuid(). This commit

Windows: SHUTDOWNCMD stopped working after Creators Update
Hi all! All was working fine with all my UPSs and Windows 10 machines, NUT will notify events to NOTIFYCMD (which point to a .bat script to show messages) and finally will shutdown the system via SHUTDOWNCMD, that is another .bat file that simply uses shutdown.exe to hibernate the system. Today I upgraded all my machines to the latest Creators Update, and now NOTIFYCMD works as I can see

AD + winbindd(8): group permissions being ignored ? WTF ?
Hi all, I am successfully authenticating "FreeBSD 7.0-CURRENT #1: Wed Jul 25 17:31:15 WST 2007" against AD. Users can log in succesfully with home directories being served via amd(8) and NFS. However, I have discovered a potential "show-stopper" that will force me to abort this mission :( The problem -~-~-~-~-~- In a nutshell: Simple group permissions set with chown(1) are

[LLVMdev] MCJIT and Lazy Function Creators
Out of curiosity, I'm replacing the JIT with MCJIT on my compiler. As all "external" functions are provided by the language's FFI mechanism, it does MyExecutionEngine->DisableSymbolSearching(); MyExecutionEngine->InstallLazyFunctionCreator(&MyLazyFunctionCreator); which works fine with the JIT. However, MCJIT insists on resolving unknown symbols by searching them

[LLVMdev] MCJIT and Lazy Function Creators
I guess we'll have to add that to the list of things that needs to be done to replace the old JIT. In the projects I've worked on that use MCJIT, we've been using getPointerToFunction and then calling it from outside the MCJIT engine, but I suppose that the generic handling in runFunction would be useful in some cases. -Andy -----Original Message----- From: llvmdev-bounces at

generate 10 UUID records and save it it database in rails
I need to create certain number of UUId records(based on the selection of drop down) and save it in the database. Now I am generating only one unique id. Can this be done in the model in this way. Or do I need to write a helper file for that?? def generate_unique_token=(value) self.secret = Base64.encode64(UUIDTools::UUID.random_create)[0..8] end In my controller........... def create

MySQL problem when using Dovecot as proxy
Hi, I have just installed Dovecot as a POP3 proxy with great success. Its works flawlessly when i keep to the standard but since I am proxying a Microsoft Exchange 2003 (because the build-in POP3 in MS sux bigtime) I would very much like to use account names like: DOMAIN\username and this doesn't work when I include that in the MySQL table. In the logfile it clearly writes DOMAIN\username so

Asterisk on Mini-Box M300
Hi, Did anyone try to install Asterisk on the Mini-Box M300 with a Versa mini-ITX board 1GHz VIA x86 CPU? The box looks promissing, but I am not sure if Digium cards are compatible with the mother board (Versa mini-ITX) Also I am not sure if the 1GHz VIA processor can handle a Digium 24 port analog board, or an E1 digital board. If anyone had tried the Mini-Box, the processor, of the mother

pxelinux.0 bug
Hi: I use this driver to set up my Fedora Core 1 as a PXE server. After I successfully boot up from network in my laptop, it erases my Intel PXE boot manager from my laptop's BIOS. The BIOS of my laptop has an option to choose form "boot from ethernet", but it is gone after I use this driver. Now I have to reflash my laptop's BIOS and Intel PXE boot manager ROM to make it come

Samba 2.2.6 leaks file descriptions!
Hi My server has ran out of file descriptors(FDs) a few times since 2.2.5 up to 2.2.6. When looked into the problem I found a lot of smbd processes that had hundreds of open FDs. I am on RH 7.2. Any ideas? I have compiled the sources form SAMBA_2_2 CVS branch from yesterday. usally I just specify the --prefix= parameter to configure before I do make clean;make; make install I also noticed
