Divided by Zero Error Speex-dev Digest, Vol 34, Issue 12
Hi,
I am getting the same problem of divided by zero while decoding in the
function multicomb(). I am using fixed point speex code. Can anybody
please tell me the solution for it.

Reg Fixed point Speex Narrow Band decoding
Hi Marc,
I've downloaded the Speex1.2Beta version. In the code still there are some float variables are used for the Narrow band decoding.
In the file "nb_celp.c" .93 is getting multiplied with the GAMMA_SCALING [Line number From - 1341 - 1351]
Can please tell me weather the 1.2Beta version has complete narrow band decoding in fixed point??

Divided by Zero Error
Hi,
I've encoded the GSM AMR narrow band stream "T01.pcm" using narrow band speex encoder at 24.6kbps. When I try to decode this file using the fixed point speex decoder, it is giving Divided by Zero error in the function multicomb().
Can anybody encountered these type of problems earlier?? if yes, what should be done as rectification??

Speex on ARM7
Hello
I'm testing SPEEX on embedded board using ARM7 (Atmel). ARM7 don't have
floating point so I'm using FIXED_POINT. Unfortunately the encoding speed is
about 5 times slower then necessary for real time.
ARM7 is slow for 16/8 bits operations.

high-pass filter issues
Hi, I am using 1.2beta2 on a C5416 doing narrowband
in the decode function I am having a problem with the execution of my
program vectoring off to random interrupts that are not used. I have
tracked down the error to the highpass function called in nb_decode

Is there a way to correlate operation to machine instruction?
For example, given a multiclass for ADD 32 bit that might produce something
like:
ADD32_REG_REG_REG (operands are all registers for a 32 bit add)
ADD32_REG_IMM_REG (srcA is a register, srcB is an immediate and dst is a
register)
ADD32_REG_IMM_MEM (srcA is a register, srcB is an immediate and dst is a

I have also seen some problems with the 1.1.8 release on the C55x. So far I
have boiled down the issues to the following:
1) We need our own "fixed_xx.h" header file. I don't know why, and haven't
had time to investigate, but there is a definite improvement when I use the
attached fixed_c55x.h file which has turned all the maths into inline
functions.

An update:
I found that the "ADD32: output is not int:" messages are caused by the enhancer. When I turn the enhancer off, the messages vanish, but the "freak out" of the codec is still there - so the problem seems not to be related to the overflow messages.

I didn't get any response to my issue up to now and would like to now if anyone can reproduce this behaviour and if there is some idea what happens. I am willing to fix this issue, but because I do not know the internals of speex, I need some advice on how to proceed...

ARM NEON optimization -- celt_fir()

This is Linfeng Zhang from Google. I'll work on ARM NEON optimization in the
next few months.
I'm submitting 2 patches in the following couple of emails, which have the new
created celt_fir_neon().
I revised celt_fir_c() to not pass in argument "mem" in Patch 1. If there are

Sorry, I *do* care about the problem and just happen to be overworked at
the moment. What I suspect is that the pitch gain gets close enough to
unity that the loss makes it bust. Did you test with the floating-point
code?
