Changing the PATH from the command line
I am not very experienced with the MSDOS command line and even less so with wine. I am working on a realtime embedded C project and must, for the time being, use DOS command line tools. Since my work environment for decades has been Unix and Unix-like, I am trying to get the tool set to run under Wine on Hardy. I have solved several problems, but now I need to reset the path. I have a .bat

Yum Issues with Dev groups
Just my luck, None of my CentOS systems or my Fedora systems can #yum groupinstall "Development Tools" "Development Libraries"? Both are having dep issues? Is that a coincidence, or what's going on? The CentOS boxes all complain: --> Processing Dependency: glibc-common = 2.5-18.el5_1.1 for package: glibc Error: No Package Matching glibc.i686 jlc

solution: wbinfo -K not working
Hi! The problem lies in the "winbind separator" settings. If I use winbind separator = \\ everything goes well. I believe this is due to a bug. As I don't want to register to yet another bugzilla, please someone issue the report there. Explanation: winbindd_raw_kerberos_login uses parse_domain_user to generate the kerberos principal from state->request.data.auth.user at this

polycom no menu
Was messing with a polycom 501 and changed the IP from dhcp to static. Working with a user remotely. Now, the user says the phone does not show anything on the LCD and does not respond to any buttons. When rebooting, there is text shown as it proceeds. ?? Is there a way to reset this to a default? Does not respond to ping on the address we set. joe a.

Failed to boot from one particular system
Hi all, Last month we received the following mail from one of our users; apparently, his system does not set register DL to the boot drive number, so the rest of the process fails. Unfortunatelly, I have not been able to contact the sender of this mail, so I have not been able to gather more info about his system. I will continue trying to contact him. Does anyone know how could this be solved

Now I'm getting these 2 errors in /var/log/messages whenever I execute a cgi:

How to fit GARCH(1,1) with targeted unconditional variance?
Hello, I have a univariate data set, and the unconditional variance is 1. I would like to fit a GARCH(1,1) model to the data set with a constraint: \omega (the constant parameter in GARCH(1,1)) is equal to 1-\alpha-\beta. So the unconditional variance can be controled to be \omega /(1-\alpha-\beta) = 1. I was using garchFit (fGARCH package) but did not find the way to control. Any help?

Targeted build version
Hey! I''m still lurking here. Based upon the slowdown of postings, it seems to me that it may be almost ready for ON push back but I don''t see zfs-crypto listed in the documented changes of the builds underway. Is it in there a plan to get it in there? Regards, Gary -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
