speex optimisation for ARM 5TE architecture
Hi JM,
Thanks for the earlier replies. I have tested it with quality 1,2&3 the result is not much different. Also I must tell you that I am using the armbe-linux-gcc compiler which does not suppoort arm5e-asm optimisations. I get lots of assember related errors. Is there any alternative? Will moving on to a board supported by arm-linux-gcc compiler ,to enable arm5e optimisation, help?

speex optimisation for ARM 5TE architecture
Hello everyone,
Can any body please tell me the compiler options to optimise the speex code for ARM TE architecture. Fixed point is enabled. It currently takes about 700ms to encode 5 sec worth of voice. I need to get it down to under 10ms.
Is the option --enable-arm5te-asm supported? I am using speex 1.1.12 version. The configure.ac file does not seem to support --enable-arm5te-asm

The ARM port has suffered a bit from the fact that I haven't been able
to keep the assembly up-to-date. Don't know what bit-rate/options

Because the model actually

Regarding Opus Codec Input output file.
Hi All,
Need Help !
I am interested testing opus codec encoding decoding qaulity. for this have complied opus code codec from souce. After compiling i got opus_demo app.
for Encoding i followed below steps:

Regarding Opus Codec Input output file.
Hi Sakharam,
I see 2 potential issues with what you are doing.
1. ./opus_demo -e voip 48000 2 16 music_orig.wav testcase30.opus
in above command, "16" for bits/sec seems too low. I'm no audio
expert, but just cant convince myself you can get any reasonable audio
data with 16 bits/sec. FYI, I was able to encode and decode with 16
bits/sec, but when I played the decode file with

[LLVMdev] dragonegg plugin invoking issue
Hi,
I am using latest sources on GCC (gcc4.5_branch), LLVM and dragonegg. I am able to build all three bits though unsuccessfull in building. Already done obvious things
- checked out the sources as per defined in "Getting the development version" on dragonegg.llvm.org
- Modified the llvm-backend.cpp in dragonegg to make available the global plugin_is_GPL_compatible publically

[LLVMdev] dragonegg plugin invoking issue
Hi Rehman, if I understand right the plugin works fine if you compile it with
-fvisibility=hidden, and replace LLVM_GLOBAL_VISIBILITY in llvm-backend.cpp
with __attribute__ ((visibility("default"))). Since LLVM_GLOBAL_VISIBILITY
is a macro that expands to __attribute__ ((visibility("default"))) if you
are not on mingw32 or cygwin, and your gcc version is at least 4, that

Asterisk remote calls with low bandwith and high latency
Hello,
I have 2 sites. One(Site 1) has an asterisk PBx and the Other(site 2) has 2
remote soft phones. The latency btw both sites is btw 500ms-700ms. I know
this is a shot in the dark...but are there ways of improving the voice
quality for the remote calls(btw site 1 and site 2), Other than increasing
bandwidth?

CND (CID) woe on a TDM400P
G'day list,
It appears I got ahead of myself in believing I'd solved my CND (caller
id) problem. My callerid.c change got it working on one of the handsets I
have, but not the other. (Recap: The AU CND standard has an increased
delay between the end of the ring signal and the start of the CND FSK data
-- it's 500ms in US GR-30-CORE, and around 700ms in AU DC.002/TS030).
I've

call quality monitoring
I need to debug a call quality issue with remote users on the other
end of a satellite link. The symptoms are: we here on the Internet
side can hear them just fine. On their end, things work sorta OK most
times, but they often suffer from severe dropouts and digital
warbling, both of which I attribute to them missing packets. Often
times they can't make out a word we are saying while we can

Lossless/lossy hybrid?
Monkey's Audio lossless compressor (currently win32 only, free but not
open-source except decoder) author is thinking to implement a kind of
audiophile-quality lossy compression which would filter "noise bits" that
are hard to encode lossless but which are (or should be) inaudible and thus
improve lossless compression (avg. 300-450kbps). I think that implementing
something like this
