Updated task list for Speex
Hi everyone, For all those of you who always wanted to contribute to Speex, but didn't know what to do, I've just updated the list of things that could be done on: http://wiki.xiph.org/index.php/Speex The tasks range from maintaining a FAQ to writing a better perceptual enhancer. Some of the more complex things listed would even make a good university project! If you're interested in

Speex echo canceller on TI C55 DSP
Jean-Marc, I have traced the second infinite loop further. When st->adapted becomes true (mdf.c line 623), the first Yf[i] value is 4, the leak_estimate is 0xd4e, the resulting r is 3. The first value in st->Rf is 0, so e is 1, and r is set to e>>1, or 0. A little later there is a divide by r, and there is the hang. It seems that the 0 in Rf[0] is the problem, but I am not

Re: speex echo cancellation limitations
Hi Ted, Thanks a lot for this analysis. > In FLOAT_DIVU() it hangs at the following: > while (a.m >= b.m) > { > e++; > a.m >>= 1; > } > for the case where a and b are both zero (yes, division by zero). > This happens from mdf.c: True, that needs to be fixed even after I fix the rest. > leak_estimate =

Building the Symbian compatible library.
I apologise in advance if there is anything that i have failed to read properly in the documentation, but i have been unable to find a guide for building the .lib from the supplied Symbian project files. Is there anyone who could give me a brief walkthrough of the necessary steps? Is there a preferred environment? Will it build for emulator as well as target device platforms? I am using the

Bad Form?
Hi, This is my first post, I wanted to ask a quick question about "Bad Form" -- rather, am I doing something with Mechanise I shouldn''t be doing? Here''s the long and short of it - I am using Mechanize with Cucumber and RSpec to test a *ahem* Perl XML web service.. talk about technology soup, but I have it working quite well. I have an example project on GitHub that

Speex echo canceller on TI C55 DSP
Just tried your files and I'm not running into any infinite loops and the cancellation works fine. Unless the C6x has the same problem, I suspect a 16-bit problem. I'll check and see if I find something. About the r=0 problem, I can't find where it ends up in a denominator, so I suspect is not (directly) the problem. Speex echo canceller on TI C55 DSP
Jean-Marc, Well I finally tracked down the problem. Then I checked my mail and found that you had fixed it several hours earlier. :( Build 11387 produces the same result as my modified build 11343. Because of compiler limitations in the TI tools, I did have to make modifications to pseudofloat.h (separating return of float values) and nb_celp.c (adding braces around a variable declaration

Sample config files installed to /etc
The sample config files in the Asterisk distribution and packages are really good for getting the demo up and running quickly, for example, to extend the demo to run behind a WebRTC proxy only required about 6 lines of extra code to define a peer in sip.conf and enable TCP However, I'm not sure that they should be installed by default by packages. Most package managers provide a way to diff

Speex echo canceller on TI C55 DSP
Jean-Marc, I recently started looking at running the echo canceller on a TI C55 DSP along with the 8kbps narrowband Speex encoder/decoder. This is one of those "braindead compilers" that you refer to from time to time, and cannot handle the float struct assignments in the return statements in pseudofloat.h. Most of these were eliminated in build 11311 (patch by Brian Retford), but

Reading data for discriminant analysis
Dear R users, I want to do discriminant analysis on my data. I have successfully followed the discriminant analysis in V & R on the iris data: > ir <- rbind (iris3[,,1],iris3[,,2],iris3[,,3]) > ir.species <- c(rep("s",50),rep("c",50),rep("v",50)) > a <- lda(log(ir),ir.species) > a$svd^2/sum(a$svd^2) [1] 0.996498601 0.003501399 > a.x <-

battery.charge and other fixes needed for X-Power Tigra 1kVA
Hello all, been 5 years since I posted on this list, glad to be back :) I have a number of X-power Tigra 1kVA online UPS units. From some knowledgeable folks working for the local distributor, I learnt that from inside this looked like a Best 610 ups unit. Before, I had this UPS hooked via serial to my Windows 2003 server. For monitoring, some winpilot/upspilot software was also provided.

Reseting Echo State
Hello guys, I want to make echo tail parameter in my app changeable during run-time. So my question is:f Should I use speex_echo_state_reset function for this? Just call speex_echo_state_init function with new values after that? Or perform a full de-initialization and initialize echo cancellation with new tail value? I'm also using preprocessor - does the same apply to it?

Speex echo canceller on TI C55 DSP
Hi Jim, I've just been made aware of these problems (look for the thread "speex echo cancellation limitations"). It's on my short-term TODO list. > If fftwrap.c, I ifdefed out the spx_fft_float and spx_ifft_float routines, > because there were not used and required smallft.c (which is not so small at > all) to be added to the build. Right, need to cleanup that
