Compiling the latest SVN checkout
Hello, I just checked out the latest version of speex and I want to compile it. The INSTALL file says that's easy: bjoern@deimos:~/studium/beleg/resources/svn/speex$ cat INSTALL Installing Speex is as easy as: % ./configure [--prefix=<install-path>] % make % make install Note that if you are using the code from SVN, you will need to run "autogen.sh" instead of

Nut-2.7.3 & gcc-3.3.6
Dear developers, libnutclient has been added as a C++ alternative to libupsclient in 2.7.1. As a result I can't compile nut 2.7.3 with gcc-3.3.6. There wasn't such a problem with nut-2.6.5. Is it possible to add a configuration parameter like '-without-libnutclient' to provide better compatibility with older gcc versions please (since libnutclient is an alternative to

Jitter buffer latency
Hi, I'm trying to use the jitter buffer feature that comes with Speex but I'm getting unexpected latency. I wrote a client application that does VOIP-like functions and without using jitter buffer, the end-to-end latency is around 250 ms (I'm using lowband 5.97 kpbs). However, when I tried to incorporate the jitter buffer feature, the latency would grow as time elapsed (up to a few

Sending speex over a network
Hi All, I would like to communicate speech over a network compressed using speex. However, I do not want to communicate a whole Ogg-formatted file. I am interested in only the speech frames. I invoked: speexenc input-file-name - > raw-speech This, I am thinking gives the speech frames only. To play this back at the receiving end, do I need to format it into Ogg formatted file before I can

spandsp-0.0.2pre6
Just wondering if anyone else has managed to successfully compile spandsp-0.0.2pre6... I'm assuming it is working for most people, else it probably wouldn't have been released, and/or, other people would have had more to say about it... In any case, these are the errors I am getting while doing a make: if /bin/sh ../libtool --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I. -I -g -O2 -MT

[LLVMdev] OpenMPI and llvm-gcc
Hi, I was wondering whether or not MPI-libraries are expected to work with llvm-gcc? I tried to compile openmpi-1.3 using the llvm-gcc4.2-2.5-x86-darwin9 distribution on my MacBook Pro running OS 10.5.6. Installation using the gcc (gcc version 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5490)) worked well. But for the llvm-gcc I get the following error message (during the make): > .... > Making all

[Nut-upsuser] Nut-2.7.3 & gcc-3.3.6
Hi Charles, Yes, it looks like my g++ does contain STL library which might be just my specific case... However, as a temporary solution I disabled nutclient in Makefile (please find the file attached). And nut-2.7.3 can be compiled now.
