Problems with Speex echo canceller in 1.1.10
Jean-Marc, BTW, the problem #1 is not unique to the speex echo canceller. It has also occurred on other ec's I've tried, most recently the CANEC ec from dspalgorithms.com. - Eric Scott > -----Original Message----- > From: Eric Scott > Sent: Thursday, July 28, 2005 9:11 AM > To: 'Jean-Marc Valin' > Cc: speex-dev@xiph.org > Subject: RE: [Speex-dev] Problems

Problems with Speex echo canceller in 1.1.10
Jean-Marc, That was my first thought as well. However, I double checked everything and it wasn't reversed. I also reversed it to see what would happen. In that case, the NES came out unchanged. (This NES was the original FES.) Any other ideas? Also, do you know what algorithm is used? - Eric Scott > -----Original Message----- > From: Jean-Marc Valin

Problems with Speex echo canceller in 1.1.10
Eecho cancellation is used to eliminate the echo which mixed with near end speech, while it was occured by far end speech. It always work like this: Find the similar speech in near end speech and eliminate it. In case 1: Because the there is no echo in near end speech, and the EC module still works on it. So a inverse model is been calculated, and a inverse signal is produced. In this way ,

Speex echo cancellation: hi pass filtering? low latency?
Hello, I tried to use speex echo canceller for a live performance setup to cancell feedback. My program buffers input until collecting a speex frame size of samples, then calls speex_echo_cancellation passing this buffer as input signal and previous speex output as echo signal, then immediately plays current speex output. First thing I noticed was huge high pass filtering. Then I found out there

Linker error in Code for Echo canceller of Speex 1.1.10
hi all, i want to use the echo canceller feature of Speex 1.1.10. For that i hav added speex_echo.h in my code.and have called the function. till compilation everything is fine but on linking it is giving me uresolved symbol error ... speexenc.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _speex_echo_state_init Debug/speexenc.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals Error executing

is dovecot vulnerable to this kind of attack?
I found an interesting email that got caught in my spam quarantine. I?m wondering if dovecot is vulnerable to this kind of code execution (I?m aware that other components could be vulnerable, but this question is specifically targeting dovecot). The idea is to insert shell commands into various header fields that would get executed as part of the message processing/delivery. Examples include:

Speex 1.1.9 is out -- Try the new echo canceller
Hi everyone, I've just released Speex 1.1.9. The main change in this release is the echo canceller work sponsored by Tipic Inc (http://www.tipic.com/). It is now possible to do acoustic echo cancellation and obtain good attenuation after a short adaptation time. This has been tested at 8 kHz, but it should also work at 16 khz and above, so give it a try. There were also some fixes to the

Function for ddply
Hello, all. I'm new to R and just beginning to learn to write functions. I know I'm out of my depth posting here, and I'm sure my issue is mundane. But here goes. I'm analyzing the American National Election Study (nes), looking at mean values of a numeric dep_var (environ.therm) across values of a factor (partyid3). I use ddply from plyr and wtd.mean from Hmisc. The nes requires a

echo cancellation seg faults
Probably the level of your signal is too low and/or you're just not letting it time to adapt. echo cancellation seg faults
Hi, If I pass the same ref and the echo data to the echo cancellation API, I am expecting silence as output. I get back the original audio data. Is this correct? Bug report: speex 1.1.10
Hi there, here is a little bug report: # ./configure --with-gnu-ld --enable-sse # make [...] vq.c:99: error: conflicting types for `vq_nbest' vq.h:44: error: previous declaration of `vq_nbest' vq.c:133: error: conflicting types for `vq_nbest_sign' vq.h:46: error: previous declaration of `vq_nbest_sign' The --enable-sse option took this bug to the surface. NLMS filter length for AEC
Hi all, I have a query. I developed NLMS acoustic echo cancellation algorithm for real time voip application and using general purpose processor. Used more filter length (4096/2048) for NLMS and faced CPU consumption. With less filter length unable to estimate the exact echo signal and the quality of the speech also getting degraded. Could any one please suggest me the filter length

Callus, Mame and other emulators
Hi! I'd like to play with snes, arcade and other retro games, but unfortunatelly there isn't any linux emus for this. So I run the emutaltor callus with wine, with medius succes: Callus works fine, everything is ok, but it uses 100% CPU, and becouse of that, the soung goes wrongs somethimes. I don't know why it is takes so mutch work to wine... Callus emulate only 66 Mhz... The

echo canceller in win32
Hi all, speex is great, echo canceller in speex is great, when I test echo canceller with testecho.c, it is much better then the echo canceller demo in intel IPP 5.1,but when I use the echo canceller in a real voice chat program for win32(16khz,20ms,winmm or portaudio or directsound), it is not work. Who can help me? I will pay money for a demo using dsound with source code. Thanks a lot.

Preserving echo canceller state between two connections?
I wish to preserve the state of the echo canceller engine when it is in a converged state, in order to use this for a later, separate VoIP connection. However, any jitter in processing delay from playback to record might make this impossible. From the manual: Latency and algorithmic delay Every speech codec introduces a delay in the transmission. For Speex, this delay is equal to the

Speex echo canceller on TI C55 DSP
Jean-Marc, I recently started looking at running the echo canceller on a TI C55 DSP along with the 8kbps narrowband Speex encoder/decoder. This is one of those "braindead compilers" that you refer to from time to time, and cannot handle the float struct assignments in the return statements in pseudofloat.h. Most of these were eliminated in build 11311 (patch by Brian Retford), but
