bcmxcp: Patch for using command map if present to control commands added by dstate_addcmd
Hi
Inspired by the changes by Prachi Gandhi to use the command map from the
UPS in the bcmxcp driver, I think the map should be used, if available,
to control
all commands the driver adds using "dstate_addcmd".
The following patch is an attempt at doing so. The patch is against the
bcmxcp branch.
Since my UPS also supports :
#define PW_UPS_ON (unsigned char)0x89 /* UPS on

bcmxcp: get right firmware version
at least for an HP R3000XR with the 6-cereal card, the first CPU is
said 6-port card, not the inverter. so get the firmware version from
the last CPU, not the first.
I wonder wether it makes more sense to store them all, aka
ups.firmware.cpu0 etc.

bcmxcp: Patch for cosmetic code changes
Hi
Here is a very minor patch for the bcmxcp.c driver, mainly fixing the
function name used in debug statement, and at the same time fix indentation.

Just getting noise
I'm only doing one frame using speex_encode_int greatly simplifies my
code I'm not sure why the sample I was working off of was converting
the shorts to floats then calling the other encode/decode methods.
Based off of your suggestions I tried the following but I get the same
result.
virtual Enigma::u8* Encode(Enigma::u8* inputBuffer,size_t inputSize,
size_t& outputSize)
{

Just getting noise
Alright noted, I changed me code so that the state is created in the
constructor and destroyed in the destructor of the object. However I'm
still getting the same issue although I'm sure that would have bit me
sooner or later.
The new code is as follows.
virtual Enigma::u8* Encode(Enigma::u8* inputBuffer,size_t inputSize,
size_t& outputSize)
{
short *in=(short*)inputBuffer;

problem: The decoded frame is not as the original one
Hi All,
i need your help in determining the problem in the following sample code (taken from speex manual) for fixed point encoding.
i tested encoding a 160 sample frame and then decoding it back But The problem is that the decoded frame is totally different from the original frame(see output below).What is the possible reason for this?.thanks for any help

Just getting noise
I'm completely new to speex and I'm having issues adding it to my
application. I can pass raw PCM and that works fine so I know my
transmission code is fine however when I try to encode/decode using
speex I get noise almost like a whining/buzzing sound. I'm sure it's
and issue in my code but I'm not sure where to start looking other
then my gut tells me I'm not sizing or

Just getting noise
The way I do this is to compute the number of frames (by dividing the
size of my input by the number of bytes per frame and then calling
speex_encode_int() that many times. Something like
speex_bits_reset( &bits );
for( n = 0; n < num_frames; ++n )
{
speex_encode_int( enc_state,
(int16_t*)input_tail,

Scheduling NUT 2.6.1
Fellows,
time has come for a new NUT release: I'm planning on 2.6.1 next week (max
Friday 27), and I'm currently processing remaining patches.
If you have some more on your side, please send in.
cheers,
Arnaud

At just a first quick glance, I'm pretty sure that you don't want to be
creating and destroying the speex encoder/decoder with each frame. That's
supposed to stay the same for more-or-less the entire session.

I'd like to ask people to specifically try the bcmxcp branch on GitHub - it includes some changes

Handling Multiple Select Lists
Hi All,
After much searching and head scratching I post you this!
I can''t seem to find a generic way to handle multiple select data. The
function I use to receive form values will only pass the first selected
value from a multiple select. I have pasted part of the form and the
function below.
Thanks for any pointers,
Vince

help to speed up loops in r
Hi
i am using a script which involves the following loop. It attempts to reduce a data frame(zz) of 95000 * 41 down to a data frame (averagedreplicates) of 95000 * 21 by averaging the replicate values as you can see in the script below. This script however is very slow (2days). Any suggestions to speed it up.
NB I have also tried using rowMeans rather than adding the 2 values and dividing by 2.
