ogg123 remote interface
Hi,
I've been working on ogg123 to see if i could add a remote interface
compatible with the one in mpg123. This remote interface is used mainly by
mp3 players which use mpg123 as their backend.
The reason i did this was that i have recently encoded some of my cd's in
ogg vorbis format but wanted to keep using my favourite player (playmp3list,

[vorbis-tools] Some patches coming from Debian bugs
Hello.
Attached are some patches that some Debian users of vorbis-tools have
sent to our BTS over the years (numbers refer to Debian bugs).
It'd be nice to see them integrated. They apply cleanly to SVN as of
today.
The largefile_support one is a bit bigger than just the configure.ac
since the submitter adviced that config.h got included in all C source
files before the standard includes,

Problems building vorbis tools 1.0.1
hi!
I've got some problems compiling/linking the vorbis tools.
at first I had the same problem as mentioned here:
http://www.xiph.org/archives/vorbis-dev/200201/0005.html
(make was looking for libogg.la in the wrong path)
but creating a symlink to /usr/local/lib/libogg.la in /usr/lib/ helped. :)
having solved this, I get a new error:

ogg123 --end 1:59 patch.ogg
Hi
Here is another patch regarding time in ogg123 which is more
controvercial than the other one I send some days ago. (see
attachment)
When working with Daisy/SMIL [1] files it would be helpfull if the
user could stop play at a specific time. Currently .ogg files are not
allowed in the Daisy format but that will hopefully happen one day if
I work hard at it.
A clip in a Daisy file could look

Various Ogg Vorbis largefile notes and/or patches
Greetings one and all;
I'm not subscribed to this list so I'm first sending this message
to verify that mails from me make it through, and then later I'll
send the juicy messages with patches. Also, the address I'm using
is IPv6-only and doesn't often work, so drop me from any replies
and I'll catch the archives, or drop only the hostname part to get
an IPv4 address that

C++ Set_Metadata Problem
I refer to a problem that appeared on the flac list last August that was
either solved off-list or abandoned.
The problem is with using the C++ encoder classes, particularly the
FLAC::Encoder::File:set_metadata
function. JC said that the developers version of how to add a simple
metadata block looked right, but it did not work for

allign records with start- and enddates
I have this model (Days), that has a start- end enddate. It has a
belongs_to relationship with Child. So, one child can have many Days.
If a new Day is added, the start- and enddates should all allign. Is
there a plugin, or a ruby class that I could use to achieve this?

Hmisc Latex Question: column headings and Major Column Headings not properly alligned
Dear R users:
When I create a table without Major Column headings, my *regular* column headings appear correct in the typeset latex file. The major row heading and row groups are as they should.

[PATCH 0/1] opusenc support for WavPack input
This patch to opus-tools adds optional support to WavPack
lossless format as input to opusenc.
Like support to FLAC, it depends on an external library,
libwavpack, and may be disabled on configure.

SSD format/mount parameters questions
For using SSDs:
Are there any format/mount parameters that should be set for using btrfs
on SSDs (other than the "ssd" mount option)?
General questions:
How long is the ''delay'' for the delayed alloc?
Are file allocations aligned to 4kiB boundaries, or larger?
What byte value is used to pad unused space?
(Aside: For some, the erased state reads all 0x00, and for

[LLVMdev] Overzealous PromoteCastOfAllocation
Hi Dan,

This sounds reasonable indeed, but still a bit arbitrary. Haven't figured out
anything better yet, though.

update for 4.11 Security Officer-supported branches
Hello...
In regards to http://www.freebsd.org/security/ , from what I understand
the FreeBSD 4.x branch is generally winding down in favor of the 5.x/6.x
branches. It would be nice to know ahead of time if 4.11 will also be
an extended release, or if that would fall to 4.12. For those of
running 4.8 (expiring about the same time as 4.11 is released) we would
be in a better position to know

Vorbis 1.0.1 release compile errors (libvorbis, vorbistools)
Well, I grabbed the tarballs this morning and found that of the three
new releases, only libogg1.1 would compile without and issue. I had to
recompile my flac1.1.0 for ogg support, and it gave me a new error (or
I wasnt paying attention, anyway...) it will finish compiling and
install, but I only ran make check on the original compile, not the new
one with OggFLAC attached and stuff...

PKR not working with Wine 1.0.1 and Eeebuntu
Even though the game PKR (from pkr.com) is supposed to work fine with Wine and Ubuntu 8.4, it's not working on my Eee PC 901 netbook.
The game starts fine, and I can log in, then view a list of current tables, but when I try to go to one of the tables the graphics go all corrupted.
Even at the table list screen, the mouse is out of allignment by about 50 pixels.
Is there a wine log
