Odd icecast hiccup problem with low-bandwidth cellular client
Here's a very odd question - I don't know if anybody can even begin to answer. I am attempting something very odd and geeky. I set up an icecast Win32 server streaming a 96kbps mp3 stream (using all the latest as of today software, winamp, icecast2 and oddcast v3) so I can listen to it on my cell phone while at work. My phone does GPRS EDGE data at 131kbps-ish, just barely fast enough to

Call Path Optimization?
Hello, Is Call Path Optimization (IAX Draft, Section 6.4.4) supported by Asterisk? If not, is there a roadmap for it? If there is a URL I can study to get the answer, I will appreciate a pointer. I scanned recent mailing list archives and couldn't find any discussion of this topic. Thank you. Vipul Bhatt, Asterisk-newbie

[OT] Streaming video on variable bandwidth connection?
Hey guys, I'm sorry this isn't * related but if there *is* an 'answer' to this question, I suspect someone on this list will know it. :) I'm trying to work out what technology to use; Situation: Mobile Linux computer connected via 3G/GPRS to internet. The computer is likely to encounter fluctuating connectivity where it connectivity drops between low GPRS signal, full

There's nothing in rsync to do that. How about making the files and directories all belong to another user, set the sticky bit and write for your rsync user on the directories, unset write for the files, and rsync that way, then chown afterwards? the updates to existing files will fail, leaving you only with new. transferring files that don't exist on remote system.
Hi, Is there a way to transfer only those files that don't exist on the remote system? That is, I don't want to update common files even when the local system has new versions of common files. best, vipul. -- Vipul Ved Prakash | "I almost died, but I made it, so I'm not so Software Design Artist | serious about formal-wear anymore." http://vipul.net/

[LLVMdev] Instr Description Problem of MCore Backend
Hi, all: Now I'm working on writing a backend for Moto MCore, but I don't know how to describe some instructions. First, I've already written MCoreRegisterInfo.td like these: class MCoreReg<bits<4> num, string name> : Register<name> { let Namespace = "MCore"; field bits<4> Num = num; } def R0 : MCoreReg< 0, "R0">,

jitter buffer
Hi Farhan, It is interesting that GPRS is 9.6 kps, as per GPRS standard it should be 115kps ? if it is 9.6kps is true then I would use speex codec on GPRS for my project, since in some country they charge GPRS on flat rate rather than expensive airtime. Thanks for your work ! Regards Danny -----Original Message----- From: speex-dev-bounces@xiph.org [mailto:speex-dev-bounces@xiph.org] On

Question on function "glm.fit"
I have a code that contains function "glm.fit" and it works in S-PLUS. But this same code (with some minor changes) does not work in R. I am supplying the part of the code. Can somebody help with this problem? The code *************************************************** x1 <- seq(from=-1,to=2, length=20) x2 <- (rep(1:5,4))/4 x <- cbind(1,x1,x2) y <-

An Open source phone based on Speex
Dear All, I have finished documenting my Lightweight Telephony Protocol. It is now availalbe on www.lightweighttelephony.org. I invite you all to use the simple command line client (so that you can script it anyway) that works with Speex codec (Create your userid on spokn.com). The site may not render properly on some browsers, I will fix it in the coming week. This protocol is simple and

An Open source phone based on Speex
Hi Farhan, What is the purpose of the protocol? Just to be a binary form a SIP? I mean conferencing, PTT, chat we have in h.323, sip, jingle, iax? What is the reason for a new one? The NAT traversal has been fixed for a while for all those protocols also. Diana farhan@phonestack.com wrote: > Dear All, > > I have finished documenting my Lightweight Telephony Protocol. R Batch job on Unix system
Hi All, I execute a R BATCH job on the unix machine. About some days ago I was able to do a simulations of size 800000. Now, I am trying to do about 400000 simulations in the batch job. In this job, I calculate eigen values for 3x3 matrix 50 times and iterate it 20 times and repeat this whole thing 400 times. I checked with our system administrator if the machine was running OK and it is OK.

Thanks
Thanks for warm reply from Osman and Prof D. Bates. I have contacted the R-help team twice and everyone gave me a nice reply (except once) and I was extremely happy. I talked to my colleagues about it. These days, the customer support for the paid software doesn't do any good most of the times. But the R-help team has been very helpful to me in giving the answers to my questions. I am used

How to logoff a session with dovecot?
I use dovecot to push email to my SE P1i and it works very well. :) However, I have two email accounts set up on the phone, one using my domain for GPRS and public WiFi and one using my WLAN address for use at home, the idea being I don't want to pay for GPRS data at home. The trouble is the GPRS account remains logged on and I get the mail in both inboxes. There is no option in the email
