Speex on TI C6x, Problem with TI C5x Patch
Hi Jean-Marc, Hi Jim,
I have also seen some problems with the 1.1.8 release on the C55x. So far I
have boiled down the issues to the following:
1) We need our own "fixed_xx.h" header file. I don't know why, and haven't
had time to investigate, but there is a definite improvement when I use the
attached fixed_c55x.h file which has turned all the maths into inline
functions.

(small) bug in nb_decode?
Hi,
So I got a crash on the following code:
k1=SUBMODE(lpc_enh_k1);
k2=SUBMODE(lpc_enh_k2);
which in the newer codebase is:
bw_lpc(SUBMODE(lpc_enh_k1), st->interp_qlpc, awk1, st->lpcSize);
bw_lpc(SUBMODE(lpc_enh_k2), st->interp_qlpc, awk2, st->lpcSize);
I am not sure if the newer code will have the same issue but the
following check is

autocorrelation and levinson-durbin
hi,
am trying to understand speex's algo.
have a few questions.
1) autocorrelation:
in the function, _spx_autocorr (for floating point
version), there is a line
ac[0] += 10;
correct me if i am wrong, i suppose the addition of
10 is used to condition the autocorrelation matrix.
wonder how the value of 10 is arrived at?
2) levinson durbin (LD) algo
in the function _spx_lpc,

Getting at the LPC coefficients
Hi Jean-Marc
I'm looking at the 1.0.5 source, and I'm not seeing an _spx_lpc(). There's
an _spx_autocorr(), which is in lpc.c and is called near the start of the
encoder function in nb_celp.c.
The encoder seems to call the autocorr() function, then calls wld() to do
something called Levinson-Durbin. Am I right in thinking that after the
call to wld(), the st->lpc[] array

Increasing the speed of speex playback
Here's one clue about whatever is causing the low quality speech.
Speech sounds terrible at 1.01X faster, and it sounds excellent at
normal speed (1.0X). So, the main problem is something that breaks
with any change in frame size in the decoder. Any idea what that
might be?
Thanks,
Bill

Getting at the LPC coefficients
Bonjour,
D?apr?s votre question ? Jean_Marc :
? Je m'int?resse ? la source 1.0.5, et je ne vois pas une _spx_lpc (). Il ya
une _spx_autocorr (), qui est en lpc.c et est appel? ? proximit? du d?part
de la
Codeur fonction dans nb_celp.c.
L'encodeur semble appeler la autocorr () la fonction, puis appelle wld ()
pour faire
quelque chose qui s'appelle Levinson-Durbin.

AIX & Large File Support Problem (+ Solution)
Hi,
I just wanted to relate the solution to a problem I was having to hopefully
save someone else a day of frustration. I'm using rsync-2.5.5 on AIX 4.3,
compiled with gcc 2.95.3. The file I was sync'ing was very large (>2GB).
Despite being configured with --enable-largefiles (which #defines
_LARGE_FILES properly for AIX), and despite the fact that the initial
transfer of said file

ARIMA (seasonal) backcasting & interpolation
Thanks for everyone's help with zoo -- I think I've got my data set
ready. (The data consists of surface weather temperatures, from 2002
to 2005, one observation per hour. Some values are missing... i.e. NA)
I have three goals:
GOAL #1:Get the data in proper time series form, preserving frequency
information:

I hope that 1/3600

Re: Problem with Blackfin assembly optimizations -- bug in fixed_bfin.h / resampler saturation???
Hi,
when I compile with FIXED_DEBUG enabled, I get an error -- both when make tries to build testenc.o and when I try to link my app against the speex lib:
lorenz@panelmaker:~/Blackfin/tests/speex_loopthrough$ make
bfin-uclinux-gcc -c -g -I/home/lorenz/include -o main.o main.c
bfin-uclinux-gcc -gl -elf2flt -L/home/lorenz/lib -o speex_through main.o -lspeex_debug -lspeexdsp -lm

Interpolation in association conditions broken; broken backwards-compatibility?
I believe it used to be possible to interpolate values into
associations'' conditions with single quotes, but it isn''t anymore.
has_many :widgets, :conditions => ''brand_id = #{brand_id}''
Anyone else remember that? It seems to have been snuffed out in
changeset 3897 with the removal of interpolate_sql(@conditions)
Was the change (and the fact that it

Logarithm interpolation
Dear all, i want to know if in R exist a method that give a logarithm
interpolation of a two columns of dates. I try to do the lm of logarithm of
the dates:
a<-lm(log(vettore)~log(as.numeric(pippo2[3,])))
but this is a
linear correlation and not that i want.....

Which function implements the piecewise cubic Hermite interpolation?
I am looking for equivalent of matlab's interp1 with the method = 'pchip'

Temporal disaggregation using interpolation splines
Hi,
this is a newbie question. Would it be able to convert e.g. annual
time series of flow data (or an index series) into quarterly data using
interpolation splines by means of an existing R-function? The problem is,
that the average value of the computed quarterly values must be the annual
value, i.e. the spline should cross the annual values (in a stairs-line
plot) in the middle of every annual

Expression Interpolation and ActiveRecord relationships
All,
I''m having some difficulties with the #{} replacements in ActiveRecord
that I haven''t seen mentioned on the list.
I have a number of has_many relationships that use finder_sql queries
dependent on dynamic data. I''ve seen that you need to single-quote the
queries to make your terms work, and that''s been good for simple cases.

2d histogram interpolation
Hi !
I want to find the surface the interpolates a 2D histogram, that I have
generated with hist2d. I don't want to make a fit, but simply an
interpolation.
Which function have I to use to do this ?
Thanks in advance.
Paola.

interpolation of lost frames
Hi,
When an audiopacket is received too late I could interpolate this frame. The problem is that I don't know if it is a true bufferloss or just the last audiopacket of a talkspurt. Now my question is if it's harmfull for the audioquality that at the end of the talkspurt one frame is interpolated? Or would this be almost inpossible to hear since the last audiopacket in the talkspurt

using the interpolation feature
Jean Marc & list,
I was going to start fiddling with using the ability to pass NULL to speex
decode
and using that to return an interpolated frame.
I am curious what the intended use of this feature was- I.e. if there is
a packet loss situation is it preferable to keep interpolating until new
data shows up, or to cut your losses after a certain number of frames?
I suppose some of this
